Well,I believe the Locust Queen has something to do with the Sires.

Look at her back,there are these huge tentacle things which the Sires also have on their backs,though they are kinda different.

And I believe Adam Fenix is alive,definately.

I'll be honest, first thing I thought when I saw the locust queen was,
"Hey didn't I bang her in Mass Effect?"

And I know I wasn't the only one thinking that as well.

Wasn't there a Medical file on a woman who looked like the queen. In the sire place? and what if the Queen was that girl, who got trapped (The Scratches on the wall?) went underground with a ton of sires, and they evolved due to the immulsion? Also, more than hat facility had sires in them. And can someone tell me about Mount Kadar? I don't get it...

I believe that the COG working under Niles got some sort of Locust specimen from Mount Kadar, and began testing on them. The Sires are either a byproduct of these tests, or the specimens themselves.

I believe the Sires are a byproduct; I think that the COG took DNA from Kadar specimen, injecting it into Humans, creating the Sires. Perhaps the Locust DNA is similar stem cells (I also imagine emulsion is employed somewhere in the Locust origin). I think the desired outcome of the tests was to create better soldiers. Perhaps Ruth was the only test subject, or the only female test subject, making male subjects sires. These definitions sort of support the idea of the Sires being males only and a creation:

Now I'm thinking along the lines of "The queens' sires, or nobles" so to speak. Epic had a professional writer on board, so all this wordplay honestly isn't too far fetched in my opinion. There may also be something special about Ruth when compared to other women, otherwise there could be x number of queens running around.

I thought Niles said something along the lines of "The sires are the key to our evolution". I'm thinking that after Ruth, the alleged Locust, queen escaped the faculty, she returned to Kadar and helped the Locust to evolve. In an eighty year window it's possible I guess.

I should replay that level.

Because that was when I first saw the Queen, on Youtube.

I may have overlooked something in my excitement of being at that the level. The first words of the Queen are, "You're the first humans to ever desecrate this palace with your presence." Either she is a human but doesn't consider herself one, maybe being a half-locust, or she's just not human whatsoever.

The only reason I doubt it being the latter is (aside from my wanting her to be human) that she looks human and speaks articulate English, while the two guys closest to her level, RAAM and Skorge, look like callused asses who barely grunt out two or three English words. But then again, what's the deal with those back tentacles?

I'd still like to know if she was the girl from the same compound as the Sires.
