I'm sort of worried about the weapon. It has the potential to be massively overpowered. I would quite like it to not actually be an instant kill weapon, and be more of a powered up smoke. So the gas blurs vision and damages, but not enough to kill you in seconds (but powerful enough to be a death if tagged or if you're in the blast radius for the total duration of the gas).

I think I'd prefer to see it explode, but not with enough force to kill anyone, but just send out Poison coated bits of Metal, that will slowly kill the person hit...maybe faster depends on the amount of Fragments.

By instant kill, I meant kill as quickly as the Garden gas kills you. That's not the 10-20 seconds you're talking about, it manages in about 4-5.

Well, since a poison grenade contains a much smaller dose of poison gas than the sniper room in Garden does, it shouldn't kill you that fast. Then I would give it about 10-20 seconds before you die.

Maybe if not a damageing effect, it reverses your controls or impairs you in some other sort of way.

Yeah well, since the goal is to kill your enemies, the poison is obviously going to be highly lethal so it does just that.

Poison has the potential to kill someone, it really depends on how much of it there is, how strong it is and obviously what kind it is. Poisons obviously can't kill you too.


I think the Poison grenade has the potential to be really interesting. Of course it could be very frustrating having dimmed vision and slowly being hurt. But if they get the balance right it would be cool.


I would like to see with this and the smoke grenade (maybe the frag but I'm unsure whether it would work) if you're holding one and someone shoots it with 1 or 2 rounds of any gun it detonates in your hand, so they you are poisoned yourself or something.

You kind of missed my point, I was focusing more on the idea of impairment, leathality aside

That's not the point, Jaybo. What you suggested won't make any sense if it's consider. Like Cdemon said, no matter what the poison will cause damage to the body one way or another. In the case of GoW, health wise.
