Well he's obviously standing in front of the locust when he picks him up. That wouldn't be the case in a real life situation, I guess, but that's what initiated it in the video. Maybe you have to be standing off to the side to do the curb stomp? I dunno.

Another thing I noticed: It looks like you are able to interrupt the chainsaw duels, as you can see the COG soldier and the locust drone having one before Marcus walks up and sticks the chainsaw in him from behind.

Heh, thats pretty cool. Instead of making in like Gears of War where you chainsawed, and another opponent walks up to you, causing you to explode, as the chainsawing chain rises.

It's like kind of saving a teammate because the opponent is occupied by dueling your mate, and you walk up, interrupt him, and take over. Awesome, and more realistic, imo.

I got to watch this thing this morning. I was rather impressed.

The thing that made me think the most though was how this game looked so similar to the first. This certainly isn't a bad thing, and it made me think that maybe we've reached a point where the graphics on the original were so good that sequels aren't going to be visual gods compared to the original.

As for the game itself, it gives me a sense that it's a tad tame (no, I'm not crazy). Perhaps I wasn't paying enough attention, but it seemed to me that this game isn't as bloody as the first. I may have missed it, but blood didn't soak your "screen" when you chainsawed someone.

Still this game looks like it's going to be awesome, and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

That's what im thinking aswell. The final release has to be bloody though, because it would let down a whole quality.

im a big fan of the ps3, i have never regreted my purchase or wished that i owned an xbox 360... but after watching that gameplay footage i must say that i am JEALOUS!

We're also introduced to a new pistol weapon that sort of looks like Halo 3's Brute Spiker.
When a Locust falls to his knees you'll be able to use him as hostage cover.
Locust neck snapping is now an option.
They've added a new chainsaw animation that was seen in the teaser trailer. Basically, the chainsaw is flipped over, stuck into a Locust's back and is forced up vertically through the torso. Bloody disgusting.
Chainsaw duels are real! The chainsaw victor is the one who can press "B" the fastest in the mini game.

Assault Derricks pack a lot of firepower and do a pretty good job at running over Brumaks.
Gears of War 2 is going to be incredible!

I loved the part where they broke open the Brumak's head and rammed it with a Derrick. I can't wait to play this! Chainsaw duels are a plus for me too, I got chainsawed numerous times by people with no skill, now I can fight back!

That is pretty fricking sweet. Anyone notice how the Hammerburts is now a single shot? There is a longer barrel too, so maybe it's a whole new gun (doubt it)
