im not far after getting the hook abilty but i seem to be stuck and cant seem to advance anwhere, ive been all over the section im in but cant seem to get out of the area right after getting the sea diskarmour and the ability to hook onto the purple dots and skiff over holes,,, im really stuck on where to go,, any help could please be emailed to me hamawoo@cox.net

Check out the Sun and Moon rooms again...remember when you first walked in the purple dots that you couldn't access, because you didn't have the hook ability? Go back now and you can link across to get to some new area's...and that will get you going. You won't be able to leave through the main tunnel until you gain the ability to go vertical with the red dots.

Question 1 - Familiars...the boss near the second discarmor...why does the Hades Familiar not even hit it? Are there range/immunity factors? Line of sight even?

Question 2 - Items such as Caduceous eg. Once I find it and use it, is it gone forever or does it return somehow? Can I go back and get it again in that case?

Questions 3 - Strange Yellow Orb in the Geryon Fields (I think)....does it have a purpose?

Familiars do have a limited range. I've found that they're most effective when you're point blank and *facing* the opponent. You can also perform multiple levels to a summon, by tapping the Triangle additional times. The best usage for a familiar is actually an interrupt. Let's say a certain boss is pounding you. Go in, hack the boss, and the split-second before he hits you, summon a Lvl 1 familiar. The animation for the summon interrupts the boss, saves you from the damage, and hits the boss for additional damage, possibly even with a two or three second stun!!! Use Lvl 1 familiars whenever possible, to prevent wasting Icol.

Items - When they're used, sadly, they're gone forever. I've only seen 3 of those 'auto-phoenix down' items in the whole game...(on normal)...The stones, however, will remain.

Orbs - The ability to use orbs is picked up later (think a Zelda game, where you pick up skills as you move along). Yellow orbs are used by jumping, and striking the diskarmor out. You'll swing from yellow. Purple orbs pull you across chasms. Red orbs allow you to pull yourself straight up. They're especially helpful to shortcut some area's. Sometimes there are red orbs *off the screen* to hide area's, too.

Great, figured out most on the fly, but either way good info.

Next question....stones. If I socket a stone into a Diskarmor can I take it back out? Also, since you can only level up your diskarmor to level 3 (4 slots), are there combinations of stones that yield higher results than each individual component combined (like the Runeword options for Diablo 2, LOD)?

Think of the slots like Materia slots from Final Fantasy VII...you can interchange the stones, however you like.

You can even have the same stone in 3 different diskarmors!! For example, make Hades your Str +4, Critical Hit, etc....
And then make Heavenly your Healing, Life Up when Defeating Monsters....etc....
You can make nifty combo's of the three. I typically just put my four best onto each Diskarmor, and went from there. One of the best stones I picked up was Hypnos, from the battle arena (I believe the 25th floor....I'll have to double-check). It allows you to heal when you're resting. Let Rygar stand still for approx 10-25 seconds, and then he'll crouch to rest. This will heal your life with Hypnos on. Excellent for the battle arena!!! Beat a level, go check the mail. Come back to full life, go to the next level.

Also, in terms of scrolls...I.e. Tale of Argos (Scroll 3 etc.,), do they affect the storyline/game? E.g. I find a letter from some soldier about that evil woman prior to her tytan-evolving (in the story) and she was shocked I knew about it....if I didn't read that little story, would the actual dialogue change...

Or simpler, is it imperative that all of the scrolls/books etc., be found in order to change the storyline the right way?

Also, any more yet on the Sounds of the future etc.? I get tons of those types of things that don't seem to do anything.

I've had an abundance of the pieces of the future, but I have absolutely no clue what their relevance is....and I'm extremely hesitant to use a strategy guide (I hate them, and codes...LOL)...

I've got no good idea on what the documents represent. Given the scene with Cleopatra...I think that actually the reason you know about the flesh of the Titans-ingestion was because at the labrynth entrance, she spouts off to herself about her past, and how she survived death...etc....and Rygar overheard.
*Still* I wonder what relevance the different documents had. Maybe there's some sort of a % counter somewhere that I haven't seen yet. ??

I would assume so, or at least expect so. It could go into a total 'completion percentage' like that Castlevania for the playstation...i.e. you have completed 98% of this game etc.,

All in all, I think I have found most of them as they are really in spots where they want you to find them...of course there are a couple that I know that I don't have but things are still progressing as normal I guess.

The future pieces? Well, that may have to wait until the end to figure out I guess.

Mt. Othrys (lower area I believe) there is a gold Statue on a cliff high up to your right when heading up near the beginning of your journey through there....has anyone been able to figure out how to get that and/or what it is?

Also, I am in Arcadia now, beat up on Mr. Wing/sword man (we need a name for him since I don't want to spoil the story for anyone) and on the way into Arcadia noticed one path that lead to a dead end zip-line portal place that wasn't activated....is that where I go after Arcadia? I wasn't sure since I was still going inside after I got the lifting ability....

Lastly, a big blue glowing orb was in a place in Arcadia...is this a transporter of some sort (it would not let me activate it since there was an 'evil force' protecting it or something? I thought I noticed one very early on in the distance but couldn't reach it I think (Elysian Fields maybe?).

To get the gold statue on cliff high up in Mt Othrys, u need to follow the path as normal, when u get to the room with the Big Cube, there should be a series of jumps to take u up 2 another exit (also another big cube in the same area). Take the exit and u should come to a series of jumps, with a grassy area at the end. (There is also a silver statue, to access fall off the 2nd to last rock and u should land next to it!). When standing on the rock b4 the grassy area, hit the rocks that should be to the left if ur facing the grassy area, they should crumble and the gold statue is in that area (may have to drop down!)(New Combo). Sorry bout the explaination im writing from memory here!!

I jump on a pedestal and it says I need a special ability to active. I think I need to stomp. Where do you get the ability to stomp and push the blocks?
