Well, with the game due for release and the discussion taking off, I thought the forum would benefit from a little aesthetic improvement in the form of a header and footer, so what better way than to have a header/ footer contest. (Authorised by Gothic Girl)



Rules

Entering:

• Anyone with a Neoseeker account may enter(unfortunately this does mean no Guest entrants)

• Each person may enter the maximum of 2 Headers and 2 Footers.

• You may Replace entries up to the deadline as long as you clearly state in the thread which one you are entering it in place of.

• Headers must not exceed 600 x 180 pixels and 120 KB file size.

• Footers must not exceed 500 x 150 pixels and 120 Kb File size

• Pictures used in the headers do not have to be specifically from this game, as long as they are related to it. Pictures from the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series as well as the previous Warriors Orochi game are permitted providing the subject of the picture also features in this game.

• Fanart is permitted in the header.

• Please submit your entries in this thread. Discussion and commenting is allowed , but only in a constructive or friendly manner. Please do not insult other peoples entries; remember it's all for fun.

• The current deadline for entries is April 20th. Should there be insufficient entries or more interest close to the deadline it may be extended, but for now entries should be in within the next two weeks.

• There are no limitations on style, colour scheme etc; whatever the artist feels!

• There are some renders on the first page of this thread, contributed by Akashi.

Voting:

• As entries are submitted, they will be added to this first post.

• By the deadline, all entries will be displayed in the first post and a voting period will begin.

• A voting link will be provided, which will be a link to PMing my account. Each member may vote for One Header and One footer and may only vote once. Please include the name of the Artist and the number of the header/footer if more than one has been entered by that person.

*Voting time will last a week, and when time is up, I will count the votes and the winning entries will be announced!

You know, someone should just apply for moderator of this forum. It does have a PPD over 20, I think....

Well for one all you have to do is ask a section mod to put the header up, I'm pretty sure they will be happy to do so.

And you can't apply to be a moderator, they come to you now.

Oh yeah, I forgot that they have a new system. Instead, the supermoderators appoint the moderators...

A section mod, eh? GS would be the man here than! Of course, I am no graphics maker, but, I have an excellent judging criteria.

This is Tiger of Wu (At work and only posting to say this, so no point logging in)

Anyway, I suggest (or request really) that this is extended until after high quality character renders for the new gods are out, 'cause my idea's (and probably some other peoples) for the header's require them and they're not out yet. I don't know when they will be released, but it shouldn't be long. Anyway, just thought I'd ask that

I am aware of the situation with the moderators. I have asked GG about this competition (as i mentioned in post 1, I really wouldn't just go ahead with something without permission) and she is fine with putting the header up after the competition is complete. And currently the PPD isn't yet high enough for the section mods to appoint a moderator, but who knows after the game is released
As for extending the deadline, you make a good point about the renders, but we have no idea when such renders will appear, and i think the best course of action would be to hold this contest for now and then to hold another in 6 months or so when we have quality renders.

You bet I will, there is nothing I like more than a good graphic contest. I'll PM Saiya to ask if she will join.

I'm glad you will be, from your current banner, i like your GFX style. I'm undecided as to whether to enter myself yet.
And yes please let Saiya know, and any other people you think might be interested even if they don't frequent this forum.

Okay guys I'm working on cutting out the characters so I can turn them into renders and give them to SXH. To add to his collection or whatever Saiya told me.

She said she isn't participating because she is busy.

That's a shame about Saiya
But great news about the rendering Akashi.
Anyway considering that, the response so far and the fact some people would like to wait for renders, instead of postponing the competition I will lengthen the deadline. The deadline for entries will now be
April 20th
hopefully this minor change means more people can get involved.
