I think there should be a story mode for Orochi. Masmune, Sasaki, Kejii, Lu Bu , Orochi , Da Ji , Kiyomori Taira, Dong Zhou and Kotaro Fuma should be part of this force

Agreed, I'd like to be on the conquering side for once, as opposed to the little force that slowly builds their ranks.

Now that everyone is established in Orochi-town there won't be any wasted story on "Where are yoooou?"

So the DW and SW are all hanging out enjoying the death of Orochi and a brief respite of peace, stuck in this mix-matched dimension, when something starts stirring up trouble:

A) Kenshin Uesugi, Shingen Takeda, and Nobunaga Oda forces start feuding, DW and SW take sides

B) Tensions of Wei, Wu, and Shu break-out into factioned violence with SW chosing sides

C) Sudden cataclymic event that brings in the new characters and randomly spreads everyone out again. Unlikely alliances are formed out of necessity for survival.


I'm predicting C would be most likely. But I must wonder how Koei will handle the SW2:XL characters joining. Play WO or SW2 and you'll see a generic Motochika Chosokabe running around. How are they going to explain his "arrival" if he was "already there?"

Imagine it, the events of WO are happening in Japan, factions are vanishing into strange portals. Katsuie Shibata sits in his castle waiting to be abducted but Orochi doesn't even bother. How insulting is that?

Or is Koei going to pull a "we were here all along!" thing for them. Because it is easy for Nu Wa or Kiyomori Taira to jump in, but not newly created leftovers from already plundered time periods.

I would pretty much like it if the storys where like in the samurai warriors series.

You start out with a small amount of character groups, two groups for each force, and then each group had their own story. After comleting the groups "story"
(2 or 3 levels), you'll get a new pair of groups where either their story continues from the last groups or has a progress paralelly. All the levels could be picked in free mode, where you picked force. The free mode story would be story-neutral. Which means that special things that happens in a specific story won't happen.
This way, you could pick; Koshi Castle - Orochi side - Demon difficulty or Koshi Caslte - Wei side - normal difficulty

The individuall storys could be on about 3 too 5 levels where you unlock new groups after specific events.

When you pick stories you could pick like this:

Story Mode - Shu - Story number 3, Ma Chao, Nagamasa Azai and Kanetsugu Naoe - Hard difficulty.

Once you've completed the generic stories you will unlock a WO1 kind off story mode where your supposed to do 2 or 3 battles, where the last one is Koshi Castle.

This way you wouldn't need GAIDEN or X stages after every level, but instead one Gaiden stage for each force (SHU, WU, WEI, SW, OROCHI) which is unlocked after the Koshi Castle part.

You could say that you would divide the stories into chapters, like: Chapter 6, Guan Yu, Xiahou Dun & Lu Meng

Each stories could tell what the specific group did at the same time as another group. For example their role in a specific battle or something like that.

In SW2. Nenes, Mitsunaris, Keijis, Yukimuras and Kanetsugus siege of Odawara is all completely different because the story focuses on what the specific character did during the battle. It's something like this I want in WO, instead of controlling a random character who has nothing to do with the chosen battle at all. (Like controlling Kotaro Fuuma on Wu storys Koshi caslte, If you don't have him in your team he's not in the battle - main reason because he's obtained through a Gaiden stage - )

But he never denied he enjoyed working with Orochi... I believe i remember him saying something like that...

Two things to know about this scan:

A) It confirms that there will be a 5th story mode for Orochi's forces.

B) Sun Wukong (called "Son Goku" in Japanese), the Monkey King is on Orochi's side. Apparently he feels indebted to Kiyomori Taira for releasing him from his captivity, and he's a mischievious trouble-maker anyways.

Ok nice to see Orochi Forces story mode confirmed and the 90th character Sun Wukong who looks real dred can't wait to play with him plus he might be serving Orochi?

The monkey king... His weapon looks just like Hideyoshi... Hopefully they have different moves...

Pfft I hated Warriors Orochi anyways so I didn't pay attention after I beat it once...
