ye i like the GLA, but i prefer the american weapons cos they have chinooks and helis and planes.And better sodiers.

the americans are my favs. best bases, tanks are a little poor though.

the other problem with overlords they take forever to build

if your paying a unlim money map like the open terrain with a middle you need to build quick and it just doesnt cut it

GLA....

They don't use power..a real advantage, for one you can't stop their superweapon count by taking their power offline, and two, with no power plants hoarding space in your base, you can be real efficient.

BUT, i find that unless upgraded a couple of times at least, their vehicles leave a lot to be desired.

Personally, i prefer US forces. And more specifically, General Granger if you're talkin' Zero Hour.

GLA doesn't need power for their structures and buildings and that is a real advantage as Cypher8492 said. GLA strategy must be to move fast around the defenses and cut enemy lines. If you play demo general any of your destroyed vehicles do a lot of damage in the enemy army.

They have cheap units, easy to replace and of course they have the best defense structure in the game: tunnel network. With all the drawbacks of the tunnel network (like the limited amount of units that can stay in the tunnel at once, or that they can be attacked by Stealth Bombers) the network is just amazing and extremely useful.

Also the GLA has auto-repair vehicles option and if the building was damaged bad (remaining just that hatch) it will be reconstructed for free.

using the rocket buggies in a big swarm with toxin tractors and quad cannons thrown in is a good thing for me

and using just col. burton and a chinnok full of rangers is fun

also getting 7 helix's battle bunker upgrade. tank hunters in them and using a napalm bomb on a base nothing can survive the inferno

For fun I like to focus mainly on defense sometimes in GLA and build a TON of superweapons. No one can survive a storm of scud sites (maybe 7-8) it can take out an entire base in 6 minutes, lol!

Also a humvee with 4 rocket launchers and a sniper causes LOTS of problems for an enemy. Just one of those can take out most of a GLA defense network by itself. The sniper takes out the rockets and the missle men take care of the rest.
