BASIC WEAPONS HELP

What's so confusing? I can remember only 2 options.

Rico can have mostly 5 different weapons at a time:

• Explosives.
  • Grenades.
  • Triggered explosives.
• Guns.
  • A 2 handed weapon (a rifle, or the rocket-launcher).
  • A 1 handed weapon (like a pistol or an SMG) for the right hand.
  • A 1 handed weapon (like a pistol or an SMG) for the left hand.

If you encounter a weapon that you don't have, you'll see instructions to replace an existing weapon.

The taping and holding is how you distinguish between left and right. The weapon will end up in his left or right hand.

And you'll know what weapon you'll get by just looking into the weapon box before doing anything.

The box opens when you're close enough. If you already have that weapon, you'll just automatically get more ammunition. But you won't be able to get infinity ammunition from the same box, unless you leave the base and come back later.

The best choice is to get the weapons you like the most and keep them. Don't ever replace them, unless some mission asks you to. There's really only 1 mission where you have to replace your own weapon with a sniper rifle.

I have the:

• Assault rifle (it can shoot down a helicopter when it's upgraded, so there's no need for the rocket-launcher).
• An SMG.
• And that little grenade launcher (or whatever it's called), that shoots grenades to a short distance.

Most other weapons are fun to use sometimes, but they're inferior to the above 3.

And there seems to be 2 identical SMG's. One from the black market and the other is in boxes in some bases. They don't use the same ammo. Conveniently bases have bother versions in boxes and the black market one is the same that's provided in some side-missions.

And the circles on the lower corners of the screen are the ones that show you what weapons you currently have. If you're unsure of something and get confused by the 2 seemingly identical SMG's, then just go away from the weapon box and see how much ammunition your SMG has. Then compare that amount to the other SMG in the box.
