Sniper Battle * SPOILER ALERT *

yer exactly the same mate it took me afew times but done him jus keep lookin at the end two windows thats usually were he was the bit after that is solid i cant do it! any one else find the bit were they got the flamethrowers in the house and u gotta crawl get past that but wen upstairs allways get caught alight then just die u cant put it out!

yo...it took me like 50 times, but i finally figured out a relative easy way to beat the german sniper on veteran...

so, immediately after you come up the stairs to the 2nd level (the area where Reznov tells ya to stay out of the light), run behind the wall on the very left. Stay hidden behind this wall and only focus on the 2 right most windows (2nd level) where the german sniper is located. his bullets don't penetrate this wall whatsoever...so just stick out enough to where you can see the window where you think he'll pop up next (he gives ya signs/tipoffs) and use the wall to block line-of-sight from the rest of the windows of the german sniper building.

if he gets the drop on you, there's enough delay that you can quickly duck back behind the wall (you'll see a bullet hole appear where he tried to shoot, but it won't hit you at all).

i hope this helps and is explained somewhat decently...post again if anything is unclear.

some signs of when the german sniper is about to pop out:
1) if he uses the hat decoy, he'll bop it up and down 4 times before he'll show/shoot
2) watch for him carelessly wave'n his sniper barrel near a window edge, it show where he'll pop out, but the time'n is random of when he'll do it
3) if he shoots from 1 window edge/side and you don't see him run across to the other side of the window or a completely different window, then he is going to pop out at the window across (opposite of the wall he is hide'n) from where he last fired (ugh, ...thats badly explained...)

ok...say there's a window (1), a wall separating the two windows, and the next window (2). he fires from (2) nearest the wall edge that separates (1) and (2), then you dont see him run across any windows, that means he will show up at (1).

i found he always went to the second window from the left first, so i sprant to the couch and aimed from next to the wooden crate part, (i didnt know about the pistol being there, if you didnt know, theres one on the table, grab it), then after you fire move immediatly to the left then up to the window on the wall infront of you, then contunue to snipe form there moving to the left after each shot...i probably didnt discribe it too well but it worked on veteran

...It is possible. =D
But so far, Lt Gorman's stratergy soudns good to me!

took me like 10 tries to kill him but i got some advice when u see him pop out of the wall to shoot at u, shoot at him and then duck immediatly cuz u know that in the time it takes u to shoot there is a bullet comin at u already. OH and i think the best way is to shoot at him from a window in the building ur in since it only exposes the 2 windows that r farthest to the right.
