Okay, so it's not accurate, but at the bottom of this guys blog is some options on when it might be set (assuming its not WW2 or Modern Warfare like CoD4 was) and i thought they were pretty interesting.
Take a look and vote on which one you would like to see the most, me personally it would be the Vietnam war.

Yeah but like as that guy said, the jungle look of 'Nam would just be such an awesome mix-up, i mean we are all used to either Middle-Eastern or European landscapes and to finally have an Asian orientated game should be really exciting.

Yeah, what other new weapons would you love to see?

I would like to see the War that happened before Christ. The one with all the dinosaurs roaming around the world fighting each other

Or how about this for a master plan

Make your own wars time periods and wars up in multiplayer
and in single player you could go through 3 peoples lives WWII and a couple of modern wars.

Vietnam 10/10, I would crave A game like that. I used to play Conflict Vietanm all the time, the weapons where good, and Jungle Warfare Is better than hiding in grass with a Ghille on. Kick Some Vietcong Ass!!!!!!

Aslong as there not lasers and all this crap, i hate that type of thing, the only game i have not had a problem with that in the past is Timesplitters, Call Of Duty games for me should be battlefield standard, and if laser guns etc.. are the future, i dont want a COD like that, standard guns, nothing to fancy in the way of star wars or something

Country ideas are good though, bit of everywhere involved, except story mode, would this be in a way as in you control 3 different people like we do 2 on COD4? as allt hem countries are a fair distance away from one another, 1 mission in europe, to then travel to Russia, then America, seems a bit much for a solo team/army
