Polevault ..anyone got close?

Wow! I am jazzed about the graphics and animations. But jesus, could they have made some of the events a little easier to use? The polevault is impossible! I spin my joystick like mad and I can't get the meter to raise to 1/2. I can't go any faster on this thing, and I would not be surprised if this game costs me more than the 360 console itself in game-pad replacements. I've never had to try to mash/spin/wiggle so much in all my games combined!

I am enjoying the game to some extent, but some vents are just WAY too hard to nail down. Trying to come off the 100m start line is near impossible to be on time with the CPUs. I don't care if some of you have... do it 20 times in a row, consistently. I get a "lucky" bone thrown to me every now and again, but man, what happened to consistency. What's worse is, there is no "balance" feature so that some of us old timers who can't move quite as fast as the youngins have a chance. How about a "wii fit" like balance setup.. calibrate how fast I can move, mash etc, then base the events off of my calibrated speed. Naturally tho there would be cheaters who would simply move slow during calibration, then go uber fast and do crazy numbers.

Speaking of numbers, wth is up with some of the events having impossible to reach WR? The women's discus has a WR mark of like 681m. WTF? No one throw can go past like 80m. Same with archery and a couple other events. And on the 360 the polevault has 1 person at 12.6m, then one at 8 the rest < 7. How is it one guy did 4+m more than anyone else?

And while I am on the crying seat, why do I have to redo EVERY single jump for polevault, highjump, etc from start. Can't they allow me to choose the height to start at? If I fail I fail, but at least dont make me start all the way at the bottom again and again every time I dont complete one jump.
