I got the game on Saturday, and I must say I'm quite impressed.

The variety is brilliant, the way they've put it all together is great too. There's different techniques, realistic ones too, for each event. I'm useless at the sharp button bashing ones (100m, 200m, 400m), but the ones that require a bit of skill I'm a bit better at.

I really like how each event has almost been stripped down and built itself. The techniques for each one are really different which keeps you on your toes.

I've not been fortunate enough to play online yet as my internet at home is down temporarily, but I'm hoping the interactive leaderboards will be a great feature.

I've just bought the game today, played a bit of training on the 100m, got a decent-ish time (9.85 seconds, I think).

I then went and did the first day of the olympic qualifying and failed miserably to qualify, I probably should have used the tutorials!

Went online and got one silver medal in the shooting.

Got the game last night and had a few attempts but didn't do very well.
Went straight to the Olympics and couldn't get the hang of it kept getting disqualified, lol.

I've not even tried the Olympics since I failed miserably the last time. So I'm just sticking with competition for the time being.

Can any of you guys confirm how alike it is to Athens 2004, or even Sydney 2000. As I loved both games, especially the latter, but wanted to wait to see if this one was similar before buying it. Is there an online mode also?

It's much harder than Athens, I can tell you that. It's still a fun game, though.

I love Athens probably more than I did 3 years ago lol. I am really looking forward to the Olympic Mode as in Athens I so wanted to make it realistic I started pretending that they were real races and that I was facing real athletes lol. What's Olympic mode like?

i loved doing the offline decapathlon with a m8 and it is so much fun(i won of course)

i like swimming cause i am good at it but i love archerry

it is so cheesy when my friend was 1 point infront with 1 shot each

he got 9 and i got 10

then tie break he got 9 again and i got another 10

i was like "*bleep*inGGGGG yeas bay!!!"

I'm just borrowing the game of a friend as I though there is no value in buying it as it will be a short lived game though what I have played so far is rather good though everything is easy to do once you understand the best method so that is a minor let down though the array of sports that you can do are great especially the Gymnastics which I didn't think they would have been adding to it.. Either way though once I completed the Olympics it will be given back and never played again xD

It's a shame you seem to be right Tidus. I picked it up today but already everyone's lost interest
