Weightlifting and Triple Jump help

Im stuck on the weightlifting and long and triple jump. Has anyone got any tips.

Not tried weightlifting yet, but the jumps are really quite simple.

Just bash X and O until it says power locked, and then you have to press and hold L2 or R2 to bring up the angle calculator. You then let go of L2 or R2 to jump when you get to a suitable angle (the optimum angle is 45 degrees).

I broke the Olympic record in Long Jump last night

I can get the weights up to the top no problem but for the life of me I can't work out how to do the balancing thing.
I move the right & left toggles but to no avail and have still to actually complete one lift.

when i get to power lock on the long and triple jumps i press the L2 button but my dude only ever keeps running and gets me no jumps.

Just down to timing I think, press L2 asap after the power lock comes on.

In saying that, it seems that no matter how fast I'm going I still don't get much distance.

Sussed out the weightlifting one now, just working my way up the ranks now.

Triple jump as soon as it says pwoer lock have your finger twitching on L2 then when you see the first foot on the white board click it immediatley, then it is a matter of timing your skips which is fairly easy, then try to get a perfect jumping angle of 45 degrees you sohuld then be fine
