"Anyone running this joint?" Kane yelled through the lab. There was no reply, so he walked in without permission towards the Pokémon giving area.
About half were gone, but it didn't matter, because one stood out to Kane. Under a glass case was a purple ball, and it seemed as if it wasn't for grabs.Kane, however, just walked up to it, lifted the case up, grabbed the ball, and then put the case back down, laughing at the horrible security.
"Is someone here?" Professor Jayston asked, stepping into the room.
Kane quickly turned around and said, "I was just chosing a Pokémon. They're free, so it's okay, right?"
"Of course,. ut it does come with great responsi-" Jayston began to lecture Kane, but Kane just walked past him out the door. "Rude kid. I wonder which one he took." As Jayston scanned the lab, he noticed the empty glass case. "The Ralts with the Gardevoirite? Wait a second, that wasn't for taking! KID!"
Kane headed towards to Route 15, muttering numbers to himself.
The southern exit of Figg City was barricaded by the Figg City Police Department, who were attempting to help people by directing them in the direction of Harbarus City. Unfortunately, people are idiots, and were trying to break through.
Kane stopped around the corner, and took a peek at the nonsense. "I have to find a way past... hopefully, this Pokémon is powerful." Tossing the purple ball into the air, a flash of red light resulted in a white humanoid-ish short thing with a green cap covering it's face. The Ralts looked around, then noticed Kane. She ran over and hugged his leg, going, "Raaaa!"
Kane kicked the Pokémon off his foot and bent down to look at it. "I got a Pokémon meant for little girls and fat old men. I wonder what type it is?"
Ralts stood up, and used Confusion on Kane. He fell on his butt, head stinging painfully. "Psychic, I can work with that..."
Kane picked up Ralts and held her like a gun, pretending to aim her at a old man entering the theater, then went "Confusion!" Ralts, thinking it was a game, complied and shot a Confusion at the man, knocking him off his feet. "You know, this could be useful!" Kane exclaimed, surprised at the power of Ralts's psychic strength.
"Ready?" Kane asked Ralts.
"Then let's go!" Kane burst from around the corner and began shooting at the crowd of policemen and bystanders. People began falling down, and Kane leapt through the confusion in the direction of Route 15.
"Hold it right there, bub!" The police chief stepped in Kane's way, with a hand up. "I am Chief Burnstock, and you are under arrest for assulting the force!"
"Really? All I want to do is pass, and you losers are making this difficulter than it should be." Kane took Ralts and shot at Burnstock, who didn't flinch and instead blew off the Confusion attack.
"Hah! You thought a simple Confusion would be enough to take down Chief Burnstock?" A policeman exclaimed. "He's gone through more training than Pokémon who compete in the PWO!"
"Hmmm... you really want to get past, huh?" Burnstock asked. "Can I know why?"
"No, you may not." Kane replied.
"In that case, how about a little wager? If you beat two of my men in battle, I'll let you pass."
"And if I lose?"
"You will be arrested and taken to jail until further notice."
"...Alright, you got a deal." Kane said, letting Ralts down.

The cafe was mostly empty. It was early, people were either on their way out of the city or carrying on their daily routines with little time to spare. A young man was sitting on his own in a small table, sipping away at the scalding coffee with little concern to what was going on outside. Seconds later a teenage girl approached the table and placed down a slip of paper.
"Uhm, excuse me, sir, here's the bill you asked for." she timidly said as the man placed the now empty cup back down.
"Thank you." was his reply before handing her a good amount of coins "Keep the change." he finished and got up from his seat. As he was walking towards the door, a voice from behind the counter called out to him.
"Hey, lad, don' tell me yer thinkin' 'bout leavin' the country as well?" a deep voice spoke. It was the owner of the cafe, an older, burly man who spoke with quite the accent. A nice man, even if his rugged appearance might suggest otherwise.
"That I am, sorry." he smiled back, a bit apologetic in tone. The owner sighed.
"Aw, hell, there goes our last regular. Well, ya' know where ta' find us." a hearty laugh followed the statement before he asked another question "Could ya' at least tell us yer name, lad?"
"My name...? Jack. Just call me Jack." and with that he headed out the door, ready to face whatever he had to.
...bad news has wings.

(start Trainer Battle music).
"Ralts, do stuff to win." Kane said, bored. Ralts nodded and ran forward to face the two policemen that just walked up.
"Combusken Cops, ready for action!" They said in sync. "Go, Combusken!" They threw their pokeballs, and in a flash of red, two Combusken stood, with orange police caps on their heads.
"Ralts, you're my distraction." Kane whispered. "Make everyone watch you while I sneak away, then follow."
"Ral?" She considered it for a moment, then nodded, less confident.
"Alright, use Confusion!" Kane shouted, trying to get everyone's attention off him.
Ralts spun flashily, then jumped and landed on one leg before shooting a seethrough purple ray at the Combusken(s?). They easily dodged out of the way, then ran up to her and used Peck together. She was sent backwards a distance, but somehow shrugged it off. Then, Ralts noticed that Kane was long gone, so she took off between the policemen's legs into Route 15 after her master.
"Hey... where'd he go?" Burnstock muttered, stunned at his flawless getaway.
Meanwhile, on Route 15, Kane had finally stopped running and sat down under a large tree to rest.

The veritable ocean of fleeing refugees had made for slower going than Casden had hoped. However, as he finally cleared the portal leading from Figg City to route eight, he allowed himself a deep, relieved breath. Onward, he thought, Father's waiting... As he walked, he took a moment to observe the comings and goings of the various people.
Here and there, children dashed about, weaving through the labyrinth of adults, unaware and unaffected by the recent events in their world. Some trainers paused to battle each other - a meaningless pastime, now - while others wandered into the forest, in search of new Pokemon to add to their collection. This caused Casden to glance down at his belt, where his very own Pokemon, a Water-type, Clauncher, was being held.
His entire life, Water-type Pokemon had been his specialty and favorite, a common favorite amongst Volothan seamen. He knew that was why his father had chosen the crab for his son; it only made sense, with war looming on the horizon, Casden had a way to fight. That was how it was in the military; people and Pokemon fought side-by-side, for their homes and for each other.

Dec 27, 13 at 9:19pm ^re: Evacuation: Volothas (RolePlay Thread)
At first sight, the city still had the same busy and seemingly pacific hustle as every other day, but something was clearly not right within these houses, these streets. The feeling of impending war was rubbing off on everyone, and the tension was visible in every corner of the city. The once tranquil and joyful film capital of our dear region was now a boiling cauldron, a metaphorical flaming hive for the unprepared swarm of people that were now abandoning their nest in panic. Dozens of citizens, mostly young guys and ladies, stopped by Professor Jayston's lab in hopes of getting a Pokémon that would allow them to defend themselves, their families and friends, from the dangers to be faced on the road to their safety. Hundreds of people invaded the access to routes 7 and 8, the fastest ones to the shipyard in Harbarus town, which was for the time being the only means of leaving the region. It was the wisest decision, the war was only a matter of time, but a few carried on with their daily routines, pretending not to notice the doom that was about to strike their lives. Denial wouldn't help them when the blood started raining, though.
And amidst all of this chaos, there was a guy with a goal in life. He sought to become a knight, a prince, and it was in these times of havoc when his courage and honor would be both equally necessary and put to test, to see if he was worth of such title. With that goal in mind, he wandered through the streets of the city, thinking about the place where he could be the most useful. The north and west were completely discarded. Too many people were already overcrowding those routes, and if their desire was to leave Volothas, there wasn't anything he could do to aid them. Besides, it was the job of the people to defend their lands, he thought, so no assistance was to be given to those who fled when the ages turned dark.
The logical path, thus, was the one that would lead him East, to Daffon town. Along with Aiteck, they were the only towns on the East with access to the sea, and as such, they were also the spots where a Korvask military strike was more likely. Route 1, then. The beggining of all. A fitting place to take the first step. With fast steps, fueled by his determination, Alice started making his way to the Eastern gate of Figg city, with his eyes set on the bright sunrise which seemed to call him out, as a prologue to a journey that he expected to be just as bright.
"Jack. just call me Jack."
A manly voice echoed before Alice, much closer than what was suitable, but he was far too distrait and had his music too loud to react to it in any way. Apparently, the person at the other end of the voice wasn't paying much more attention, because he didn't notice the red-headed guy either. Inevitably, both figures collided, falling to the floor. Alice hit the back of his head against a wall, while the other victim fell on his back. He was a quiet and mysterious guy, young, but with a mature appearence, and all dressed in dark clothes. His aspect and demeanor contrasted with Alice in every possible way. After a brief moment of confusion, the stranger was the first to talk. He stood up and shook the dust off his shirt.
"Sorry. Have a nice day."
Without further words, he slid his hands in his pockets and rushed past Alice, who was still a bit dizzy, heading opposite of where the aspirant knight was going. He didn't notice, however, the red and white sphere that had fallen from his belt, and that he was now leaving behind.
"Hey, you!" Alice took his headphones off and called out to him. "Ehh..."
The man turned around and stared at him with his gray eyes that appeared to say "I don't give a damn about you". After thoroughly scanning every little detail of Alice's colorful garments, he spoke again.
"The name's Jack"
"Nice to know. This pokéball's yours, isn't it?" said Alice, throwing the device at him.
Jack caught it with one hand while checking his belt with the other, and noticed that the ball was missing from it.
"So it seems. Thank you. I'll be off now." He turned around and set foot on his way once more.
"Huh? Wait, wait!" Our prince-to-be reached Jack with a few powerful steps, and grabbed him by the shoulder. "I'm Alice. You're a trainer, right?"
Strangely, the guy didn't seem to be impressed, or even react to the sound of Alice's girly name. Jack thought for a moment, and then replied. "Yes, I am"
"Great! But where are you going? You can't be thinking of leaving the region too, are you?"
"That, only time will tell. But what if I am?"
"You're another of those cowards who have abandoned Volothas to its fate?" replied Alice, visibly irritated. "How can you call yourselves men if the only thing you do is try to save your lives when things get scary? How can you just leave everything behind and pretend nothing happened?"
Jack, noticing his dialectic rival's ire and indignation, decided to turn it up a notch "Oh, so you'd rather stay here and die? Is that what a real man does? Really useful for the region"
"If that is what I must do, then I shall, without a second thought"
"Foolish. There's no point in arguing with you. Go die in peace, if that's what you want"
From the bottom of his knightly heart, Alice wasn't willing to take such insults from a man of Jack's kind, who he viewed as the worst kind of traitor. "You think you're better than me for running away? Then prove it!"
Taking a silver-lined pokéball from his pocket, he threw it forward with all of his strength. "I'm counting on you, my Lady of the Lake"
Shrouded by light, a small, clear blue dragon with golden fins on her head appeared in front of the redhead. This Amaura, Lady of the Lake, was Alice's beloved companion that had been with him since he could remember, probably since his first day. Many times had he wished that she didn't have to face the hardships of war, but sadly, it looked like there was no other option. Jack directed his sight towards her, for the first time looking a bit intrigued, even amused, perhaps.
"A fossil pokémon? Well, this is interesting"
"What do you say, then?" Blinded by his beliefs, Alice was eager to settle the score with this man. His honor was at stake, and he could not afford to lose. "Will you fight, or just run away like you traitors always do?"

Ralts went up to Kane, and sat down in front of him, feeling calm.
"Hey, short. You make sure you weren't followed?" Kane asked. Ralts nodded then yawned, rubbing her eyes.
"Hmmm... it's nearing 10:00 p.m., but it's still light out... what happened to the world?" Kane muttered. "You know, I never really cared about others. Mainly because they're always turning a blind eye to all the troubles of the world. They just keep dumping sewage in the ocean, and dumping trash in the woods, not caring about the effects it has on the world. But then there was that man, Giovanni. He may have been the leader of the evil Rocket Gang, but at least he was making a difference, preferably using force. I am going to make the strongest team possible, and if I have to, use force to make people come to their senses and do sonething that will help this world. Not like this war is any help, cause now everyone is abandoning this region. But not me. I'm going to stand my ground, and make sure nothing bad will occur to this region, not for the people but for the earth." Kane then yawned and looked up at the large tree he was under. "It may be just me, but this tree is very calming."
Pulling out a sleeping bag from his pack, he rolled it out and got in, then took a pillow case and laid the sleeping Ralts in. Soon, he was asleep, but eyes from up in the tree were watching him.

"Night Shade, Gastly!"
David's Pokémon attacked Phantasma's sleeping Inkay with a grin on its shadowy face.
"Inkay, get up!" Phantasma commanded with a frustrated bark. His Pokémon simply continued to lie on the ground in a deep sleep.
David laughed. "Let's end this now, Gastly. One more Night Shade attack."
With Phantasma's Inkay sound asleep, it was easy pickings for Gastly who hit it with a Night Shade attack. Inkay fainted and Phantasma called Inkay back into its Pokéball.
"Good job, Gastly. Return." David smirked as Gastly returned to its Pokéball also.
"Argh!" Phantasma kicked a nearby rock in frustration, then took a deep breath. "No, it's fine. It's all fine. These emotions, this frustration and anger, will help greatly with my character work. You gotta get into your character's head. I commend you on your victory sir. It's impressive that you managed to win even though it was the first time you ever battled with your Gastly. Bravo."
Phantasma extended his hand in a dramatic fashion. "As I said, I am Phantasma. Sometimes THE Phantasma. That's my stage name. I have found that real names become rather redundant when you really invest yourself into an acting career like I have."
"David Ainley." David introduced himself as he shook Phantasma's hand.
"Well then Mr Ainley. You're heading to Harbarus Town to escape from Volothas before the war with the Korvask region begins, right? Shall we go together? I need real emotions and real experiences to call upon in my acting and an adventure with provide me with just that. It even sounds like the plot of a movie, two strangers trying to evacuate an island before it marches to war, meeting each other and becoming unlikely allies. A bit of bickering early on to help develop the characters, but in the end they become friends."
"Uh... sure." A confused David muttered. "Call me David, or even Dave."
"So we're journeying together then?" Phantasma asked quickly.
"Sure, strength in numbers and all that. How did you know I was leaving Volothas though? I mean, I know a lot of people are leaving, but surely it's a bit of a leap to just assume that."
Phantasma smiled faintly as they walked through Figg City's west exist and entered Route 8. "I was Sherlock Holmes five minutes ago. Pay attention."

ALICE - Location: Figg City
Without a single word, and a look of mild reproval in his eyes, Jack just turned around and walked away, tacitly declining the battle. Alice didn't pursue him, for a traitor who runs away is not to be given chase, but by his shame. Turning your back on the battlefield will only make it easier for it to get stabbed, and there is no worse dishonor than that.
"Run as much as you can, treacherous scum." he thought, approaching Lady of the Lake and gently caressing her head. "The fewer of us stand on the battlefield in the day of victory, the greater will our shared glory be."
And with renewed resolve, he headed again towards the East gate, in hopes of reaching Daffon Town as soon as possible. The guy had once thought of joining the military ranks, but he was definitely not fit for recieving orders, and he had never trusted the efficiency of the region's army either. A lonesome warrior all his life, he didn't plan to change it anytime soon by joining an organization. Counting on a few comrades, perhaps, but certainly not an army. He had hoped that Jack would fit the bill, but surely he was wrong. However, if their fates ever brought the two men together again, Alice was willing to give him another chance.
He kept walking forward, lost in his thoughts, without paying much heed to anything, until he overheard something that piqued his interest. A guy and a young lady were sitting on a bench, talking casually. The man was clearly trying to impress her like a peacock, with unnecessary demonstrations of his well-built physique and successive failed attempts at the art of wordcrafting. From her reactions, Alice inferred that she wasn't the least pleased by the guy's show, but he decided against interfering. There was a damsel in distress, true, but she could just walk away anytime she wanted, and our squire had more important matters at hand. The situation wasn't what catched his attention, though, since what the guy was saying was far more interesting.
"See this branch?" he said, showcasing a piece of wood, apparently a normal branch, torn at one end. "Well, it comes from the famous last Tree of Ianus. The legend says that the warriors of ancient times proved their worth by attempting to obtain a fragment of the Tree, which is said to be nearly impossible to cut or break. Some even say that it's unscratchable, so much that it still stood tall after the last war, when the rest of them were chopped and burned."
Alice didn't need another word. How come he had never heard of that legend? It appeared to him as a mystery, but it wasn't something that troubled him. The most likely option, that the whole story was just made up on the moment, didn't ever cross his mind. His brain started going wild after hearing the "proved their worth" part. If such trial could still be carried, he had to overcome it. From his pocket, he took out his phone, and searched for a map of the region. The last Tree of Ianus was indeed standing all high and mighty in route 15, South from Figg City. The visit to the Tree would take him out of his way, but then he could travel the southernmost ends of the region, through Sutak and Wonvillus, and he would end up in Daffon just as planned.
Thus, his new destination was set. Route 15. This new goal in mind, Alice sped up his pace, with Lady of the Lake still trailing behind him.

Kane; Route 15;
"Rawh?" A pink cat Pokemon jumped down from the tree, and landed on Kane's stomach. "Rawwwr..."
"Riii..." Ralts yawned and sat up, rubbing her eyes. She then noticed the Skitty on her master's lap, and quickly stood up. "Ral!"
"Mreowh?" Skitty turned to Ralts and waved it's tail at her, shooting stars out of nowhere. Ralts dodged (sluggishly) then used Confusion on it, making it be thrown at the tree.
"Riii-alts." Ralts smugly put her hands on her hips, satisfied with her victory. The cat dashed off, and Ralts went back to her pillow case.

ALICE - Location: Figg City
There it was, the Southern gate of Figg City. Lots of people were also trying to cross it, but by far not as many as on the North and West exits. Still, it was going to be troublesome if Alice had to wait for permission to set foot on route 15. Dozens of cops from the Figg City Police Department were guarding the gate along with their pokémon, and fighting his way through was out of the question.
As soon as he approached the barricade, a policeman turned his attention to him.
"Hey, you! The redhead!" Plan A: sneaking without being noticed. Fail. "No trespassing. Route 15 is off limits. If you want to go to Harbarus town, then follow that man's instructions" He pointed to another cop who was making signals wildly with his arms. Nobody seemed to care about him, though. "He will direct you to Route 8, and from there just follow the maps."
Wrong option. He could almost see the tree from here, and he was not going to let the chance go. He'll have to resort to plan B. Our knight apprentice would have to use reason and a bit of smooth talking.
"What? No, no, you got me wrong... You see, I- I need to talk with the one in charge. How was it? Commissioner..."
"With Chief Burnstock?" The policeman asked, with an expression that bordered between suspecting something and not giving a damn.
"That's it. Precisely." Alice tried his best to sound convincing and secure "It's about what happened before. I was passing by the Station Plaza when Burnstock reported the matter, and... well, they wanted to send someone to inform him about a problem in the station, but since they were busy... you know, with the people going crazy lately, it's non-stop for you agents."
"Yeah, you can say that again!"
In a moment, he had won the man's trust. Great. Now to go on with the plan.
"And so, I offered myself to come and tell him, since I'm friends with Captain James, who attended the call. And I didn't have anything to do so... It's the duty of us citizens to assist the law officers any way we can. That's why I am here." concluded Alice, displaying his rehearsed good guy smile. He didn't even know if such "Captain James" existed, but it was likely, given the large number of population in Figg City and the average naming charts of the region.
"Oh, if Captain Devons sent you then it's okay" A successful gamble. You never know when a bit of trivial information is going to be useful. "It must be something about the breakthrough we had a while ago... Oh, nevermind, forget I said that. You'll find the Chief somewhere down there, in route 15. It shouldn't take long. I warn you, though, there's some wild pokémon there, and a dangerous guy is on the loose."
"Thanks, agent!" Said our red-headed prince, still mantaining his fake smile. "I'll be careful"
"Thanks to you for your help. It's good to see that there's still a few good samaritans, even with the war so near."
Alice waved goodbye to the officer, who returned to his barricading duties, and proceeded to route 15. Carefully dodging the attention of the cops who were patroling the route, apparently searching for someone (probably the guy on the loose that the agent mentioned before), he finally set his sights on the last tree of Ianus, majestic, in the middle of the route. A feeling struck his heart, telling him that the good things were just about to begin.

Kane - Location: Route 15
"Meeow..." The Skitty looked over at the Ralts, who was ruining her plans of human extinction.
Suddenly, there was another human, one with unnatural bright red hair, and smelled of really bad cologne. Skitty stood up, ready to attack, when it stopped, looked around, and headed over to the other human. He seemed unaware of the sleeping human, and stepped over it, staring at the special tree. Skitty quickly remembered why the human yesterday was here, and jumped down to pounce on the human. 3... 2... 1... Jump!
The startled redhead started shouting things in it's language, and tried to grab Skitty, but she was too fast, clawing and scratching his smelly clothes, loving the smell of blood.
Alice accidentally stepped on Kane as he squirmed, trying to pry the cat off of him. Unfortunately, Kane isn't happy, and he grabbed Alice's leg, then made him fall over. Skitty dashed off again, leaving the smelly human to deal with the angry one.
"Who do you think you are, stepping on me like that?" Kane exclaimed, getting up. Ralts stood up to, and attempted to look mad.
"I didn't see you, I just wanted to break a branch off this tree!" Alice apologized, but then thought, why am I apologizing to this guy?
"You wanted to hurt the tree?! What did it do to you?" Kane asked, enraged.
"A legend says that if you break a branch or even a twig from the Tree of Ianus, you will prove you honor and thing like that! Apparently, Knights did it all of the time, and so I should obviously do it."
"This is the Tree of Ianus?" Kane wondered, examining it closely, forgetting about Alice. He walked around it, then tapped it at a certain spot. A branch fell down next to him, and he picked it up, just to whack Alice with it. "Here's your branch, go impress your gullible girlfriend or whatever. Just don't touch the tree."
"Ow... what a second, no way! I gotta prove my worth by myself!"
Kane's eye twitched, and he picked Ralts up. "Okay, that's it! If you can defeat my OP midget, I'll go away. But if she defeats whatever Pokémon you send out, you come with me so I can make sure you don't destroy nature." He then facepalmed his mind, having forgot he doesn't like company.

"There are several ways to get to Harbarus Town, but according to my map, this is the most direct way, through Route 8. Then we'll go onwards to Route 9, then we have a choice. We could get to Amaloda Town through Route 11 or we could take a shortcut through Dark Tunnel, but that could be dangerous." David held his map in front of him as he walked. "This is confusing."
"This isn't meant to be easy, Dave." Phantasma smiled. "This is meant to be a challenge, an adventure that forces us to tap into our emotions. That's what being an actor is all about."
"I'm not an actor." David pointed out.
"Well I am." Phantasma retorted as he gazed at a nearby flock of Tailow. "If you'll recall, this is the only reason I'm on this journey with you. I want to feel the thrill of adventure. The fear, the terror, the rush. Only then can I truly excel at acting."
"That's the only reason you're here?" David asked. "You're not at all afraid of the war then? The Volothan president was meant to come back from Korvask today, but according to the news she has extended her stay? Why? It's because Volothas and Korvask are on the brink of another war. It's all happening again. I will not suffer the same fate as my father."
"The Phantasma fears no war." His travelling partner said proudly. "I find myself to be quite apathetic towards the real world. I need to save my emotions for my performances, those hypothetical situations that I need to bring to life right before my audience's eyes."
"Are you ever going to tell me your real name then?" David wondered aloud. "Or will it always just be Phantasma, or THE Phantasma when you're feeling arrogant?"
"One day... mayhaps." Phantasma teased.
David looked at his large map again, trying to plan out the rest of the journey. "After we get through Amaloda Town, we'll have to go into Amaloda Forest and come out the west exit. I'd rather not go through the forest, but I don't think there's another way to get to Harbarus. Maybe if we-"
Before he could continue, David walked straight into a tree. The map was blocking his vision so he never so it coming. Phantasma smirked.
"Ow, that hurt." David complained. "Why didn't you warn me about that tree?"
"It was funny." Phantasma shrugged.
David was about to shout a profanity at Phantasma, but all of a sudden he heard a faint meow sound coming from above him.
"Purrloin, please come down." A nearby woman pleaded. She looked like she was in her early twenties and she had blonde hair that went down to her shoulders. David looked up at the tree he had just walked into. On a branch near the top was a cat, a Purrloin to be precise.
The woman turned to David and Phantasma. "My Purrloin has been up there for twenty minutes. I don't have any other Pokémon to make it come down. Could you help?"
Phantasma stood proudly. "You can count on us, ma'am."

Phantasma ran up to the tree before clamping his arms around it.
"Oo oo oo oh oh oo." He muttered as he began to shimmy up the trunk.
"...What are you doing and why are you saying that?" David asked, embarrassed as the woman raised her eyebrows at the scene.
"I'm going up the tree and I'm getting into character for it."
"Into character for what?!"
"A Mankey. They're very good tree climbers. Because they're Mankeys."
Phantasma leaped onto the branch with the cat and laid down in the same manner it was.
"Oh god now what..." David sighed, as Phantasma began portraying a Purrloin.
"Meow! I mean, quick, throw up a ball of string!"
The woman obliged. "Oh yes, good idea, she does like to play with it."
"Lolno, screw the cat it's for me." Phantasma responded sharply as if it had been obvious, before patting it around with his hands.
An hour later the Purrloin yawned, bored, and jumped from the tree into the woman's hands, Phantasma leaping after it, and landing on all fours true to form, before standing and brushing himself off.
"You're welcome." Phantasma decreed.
The woman thanked them reluctantly and quickly walked off.
"...What was the point of that, you could've just grabbed the damn Purrloin and saved everyone a good lot of time." David accused.
"Yes, but this was great experience. Totally going on my resume. Also the ball of string had this in it." Phantasma explained, brandishing a smooth purple stone. "I presume it's valuable, if I hadn't bored the woman she'd have taken the ball of string back, this with it. She just wanted to get away now however."
"Wait, no, you can't just keep that, it belongs to the woman!"
"i deserve it, she wasted an hour of my life." Phantasma smiled, pocketing the object and walking off, David staring with a flabbergasted expression after him.
