The Fellaci Race
Every year, many talented trainers gather in a certain region to compete in a race. This race includes Gym Badges, handed out by Gym Leaders, and Pennants, collected in strange and dangerous places. Those who collect all 8 Gym Badges, and 5 Pennants, will then travel to the Pokémon League, where they'll battle it out in a tournament. The victor will be crowned the winner of the race, and will be offered a position as an Elite Four.
This race is called the Fellaci Race.

"Ducklett, you're up!" Brad said as he threw up the Pokéball, and released his own Pokémon. Ducklett raised its wings as he called out his name a few times. "You're up first, sis."
"All right, Gothorita, use Confusion," I called out. Gothorita's eyes shone, and fixed a stare straight at Ducklett. Ducklett was sent up to the air, and was thrown into the wall. Ducklett slowly got up from its tremendous hit.
Brad winced. "You alright, bud?" he asked his Pokémon. Ducklett nodded weakly, but still looked like he had some energy to burn. "Alright, use Aqua Ring!" Ducklett shot water up into the air, and came straight back down, but instead of landing on Ducklett, it wrapped itself around Ducklett like a ball of water. Ducklett seemed to be regaining energy from it. It'd only make sense, though.
"Gothorita, use another Confusion!" I called out. The same steps repeated - Ducklett was raised into the air, and was sent straight into the wall, however with Aqua Ring, it seemed like he was hanging in there. Brad was really intelligent when it came to techniques - he knew exactly what to do. Brad knew it as well. He was wearing a large grin on his face.
"Water Gun, Ducklett!" Brad yelled. Ducklett got straight to it, opening up his mouth and shooting water at Gothorita. The water was rushing at high speeds, and hit Gothorita, stinging her. Brad was yet again smiling at his strategy. I couldn't defeat Ducklett by just repeating Confusion over and over, so I had to loop around it.
"Gothorita, Calm Mind!" I called out. Gothorita stood completely still, and closed her eyes. After a few minutes, a faint aura was glowing around her. More minutes passed, and the aura was getting stronger and stronger. Gothorita opened her eyes again, but still kept the aura around her.
"Ducklett, use Roost," Brad grinned. Ducklett flew up to perch itself up the highest part of the gym, and went to sleep. After a few seconds, Ducklett looked completely refreshed - as if he was just healed up from the Pokécenter. Ducklett woke up, and flew back down to the ground, landing peacefully. I could see the Brad's strategy was to keep healing Ducklett, and attack when he could, but I knew that Gothorita could defeat him with Calm Mind's boost.
"Gothorita, Confusion again!" I called out. Like the other two times, Ducklett rose off the ground, however, this time he rose higher, and hit the wall much more harder. Ducklett seemed like he was loosing power, but was still hanging in.
"Ducklett, hit back with a Water Gun!" Brad commanded. Ducklett opened up his mouth again, and shot water at amazing speeds. The icy water hit Gothorita, stinging her once again. Gothorita seemed like she needed some rest, but I knew that Gothorita could defeat Ducklett.
"Gothorita, wrap it up with another Confusion!" Once again, Gothorita fixed a glare on Ducklett, and Ducklett rose from the ground once more. Ducklett was flung against the wall hard, and fell to the ground. Brad grabbed his Pokéball.
"Good job, sis," he said, returning Ducklett. I returned Gothorita, fingering my next Pokémon. Brad grabbed his next Pokéball, and threw it in the air. "Lampent, your turn!" Brad called out. Out came a lamp Pokémon, with a blue flame inside it. It waved around its arms, as it floated swiftly in the air.
I grabbed my next Pokéball. "Togepi, c'mon out!" I yelled. Out came a small Pokémon that looked like it was hatching from an egg. Togepi jumped from one foot to the other.
"I'll start things off," Brad said, "Lampent, use Flame Burst!" Lampent created a blue flame above its head. It started to grow bigger and bigger, until suddenly, it shot at Togepi, as it engulfed her entirely. Soon, the fire died off, leaving Togepi burnt. Lampent seemed like she was at her strongest when using Fire-type moves.
"Togepi, use Rain Dance!" I called out to Togepi. Togepi started to jump from foot to foot, gradually getting faster, until rain clouds appeared above the battle. It soon became to sprinkle water, until it started to pelt down rain. Lampent seemed like she wasn't coping well with all the water around. Exactly my plan.
Brad realized what I was doing. "Lampent, hit hard with Psychic," Brad called out. Lampent closed her eyes, and stood still. Soon, Togepi was floating in the air, rising high up into the air. Lampent opened her eyes, and Togepi fell from a height. Togepi seemed like she was losing energy quickly. Then again, Togepi was the baby of the family.
"Togepi, use Shadow Ball!" I shouted. Togepi opened up her mouth, forming a dark ball. Togepi blew onto it, and it was sent straight into Lampent. Lampent seemed to be becoming weaker as well. The rain was obviously not helping the battle for her.
"Lampent, finish it up with Psychic!" Brad cried. Lampent did exactly the same as last time. She shut her eyes, and Togepi suddenly started to float. Togepi tried to wriggle out of it, but she was stuck there until Lampent opened her eyes. Togepi kept on floating, until suddenly Lampent opened her eyes, and Togepi once again fell from a height. Togepi landed on the ground, unable to move.
I grabbed her Pokéball. "Good job, Togepi," I told her. Brad also returned his Pokémon. "Alright, Sigilyph, your turn!" I called out. Out came my first Pokémon, as he floated around in the air.
"Deerling, your turn!" Brad yelled, releasing the small deer Pokémon. Deerling kicked up his back legs in excitement, wearing an excited grin. "Your turn, sis."
"Alright, Sigilyph, use Toxic!" I called out. A slimy, purple substance appeared above Sigilyph's head, growing bigger and bigger. Sigilyph threw the ball of poison at Deerling, who was covered in the substance. Deerling jumped out it as quick as she could, but couldn't get most of it off. Deerling was frantically trying to get it off, but unfortunately, it was there to stay.
"C'mon Deerling, use Take Down!" Brad yelled out. Deerling galloped towards Sigilyph, and jumped into the air, colliding into Sigilyph head first, and taking Sigilyph to the ground. Deerling also fell as well due to the huge impact. Both Pokémon got up weakly, but was still in the battle.
"Okay, Sigilyph, use Calm Mind," I told Sigilyph. Like Gothorita, Sigilyph stood there in perfect stillness, and closed his eyes, concentrating hard. A small aura appeared around Sigilyph, which got bigger and bigger by the minute. Sigilyph opened his eyes, and seemed to be much more calmer.
"Hm, use Take Down, Deerling!" Brad shouted. Like before, Deerling galloped at high speeds, and collided into Sigilyph. Sigilyph fell to the ground, unable to move.
I sighed. "Good job, Sigilyph," I told him, and returned Sigilyph. However, Deerling fell as well, from the Take Down's recoil, and the toxic on its body. Brad smiled.
"Awesome, Deerling," Brad said, as he returned the fainted Pokémon. I smiled.
At that moment, Clyde, the Gym's assistant, came running towards me. "Skyla, you've received a letter! One for you too, Brad," Clyde handed me the letter.
"Thanks Clyde," I smiled. Brad and I grabbed the letter, as Clyde left for the front of the Gym. I opened the letter.
Dear Skyla Quinn,
Congratulations, you have been accepted to be apart of the 1st Fellaci Race! The Fellaci Race includes racing for 8 Gym Badges, and also 5 Pennants, which are scattered all across the region. The first 10 people to collect all the badges and pennants will proceed to the Pokémon League, where they'll battle it out in a tournament. The person who defeats all of they're opponents will hold the title of the winner of The Fellaci Race, and also an offer to be in the Elite 4. This year, the Fellaci Race will be held in Hoenn. Please meet all the contenders at Lilycove City in the next 24 hours.
Alder and Iris
"Ooh, this looks cool, Brad," I cheered, "I'm gonna go in it. How about you?"
"Yeah, I think I'll go, sis," he smiled. At that moment, my phone started ringing. I grabbed it out of my pocket, and answered it.
"Hello Elesa?" I said.
"Hey, do you mind if I get a lift to Lilycove?"

"It's been too long Elesa," I replied. "What happened to your hair?" I asked. Elesa used to have short, yellow hair, but it's much more different now. She has pitch black hair, with a few curls. Elesa has defnitely changed her style as well. Before she wore yellow singlets with black jeans, but she's changed to a black and white stripe dress, with a leather jacket over the top. She also had a black fedora on, with red high heeled shoes.
"Oh, I just needed a change," she said.
"I see you girls are united," Brad said. He walked out of the gym, and came over to our conversation. "Not to be a party pooper, sis, but if we're doing the comp, I suggest we go talk to Papa. He probably want to know where we're going, not to mention who's gonna look after the gym, the plane services, et cetra.," Brad told us.
"That's fine," Elesa said. "I need to do some training for the race."
"Awesome, then we'll meet each other here soon."

"Papa, you home?" Brad asked.
"Hello, kids, what's happening?" said Papa. He was sitting down at his desk, reading the newspaper. He put it down and looked at us.
"We were just telling you that we were planning to go into the Fellaci Race," I smiled. Papa nodded.
"I thought you guys would," he said. He pointed to the newspaper, "it was in there this morning." He got up from his chair, and pulled out something from his pocket. "This was hand crafted for our family." He handed us jewellery. I got a silver bracelet with a small charm on it. It looked like a feather. I looked over to Brad, and saw that he got a ring with a small, blue gem on it. "Think of it as a lucky charm."
"Thanks Papa!" I exclaimed. Brad smiled too.
"Yeah, thanks Papa."
"Now, you guys have to win this for me, alright?" he said.
"Sure Papa," I told him.
"Hey guys," Elesa greeted us at the front of the gym. She had her Snorunt on her shoulder. "How'd it all go?"
"Great, you guys ready to go?" Brad asked all of us.
"We're ready." I said.
Sorry for long wait, and the short chapter. The chapter was planned to be short, just a connecting chapter, really. squiggle bath

The voice of Brad ran out the whole plane over the PA. He had left Elesa and I to pilot the plane to Hoenn, leaving us to relax on the plane. This plane was the latest model of aircraft yet, having modern seating, and many areas for the riders enjoyment. "Where we gonna go first, Sky?" Elesa asked.
I wondered. So many places to go first, but I knew exactly the place to go. "There is this one area," I told her. "Follow me"
We went through elevators, stairs, until we finally reached our destination. Crowds of people had gathered in the stands around the perimeter of the battlefield. In the middle had two stands, where the trainer was meant to stand. This was definitely for Flying Pokémon only, which could only cause for amazing battles. "Is this for us?" Elesa asked. I nodded.
"It's for everyone, but I guess no one seemed to want to battle at this very moment," I told her. "So it's all ours. You have a flying type Pokémon, right?"
"Yep, Emolga will do great out there," Elesa smiled. "Let's go."
I walked to the first door, while Elesa walked around to the other side of the battlefield. We both walked out, while the crowd screamed and shouted. We both climbed the ladders to reach the top of the ladders, and stood on top of the podiums. I grabbed my Pokéball, and threw it in the air. "Sigilyph, let's go!" Out came the flying totem again, for the second time today. Sigilyph started swooping around, looking energetic as usual.
"Emolga, you're up!" Elesa called out, sending out the small flying mouse. She stood on at the edge of the podium, before spreading it's wings and falling, swooping through the sky. "I'll go first," Elesa smiled. "Emolga, Electro Ball!" Emolga flapped her wings, with electricity running from it's wings. A yellow ball was soon seen. Emolga then let out a final flap of her wings, as the ball zoomed straight at Sigilyph.
"Sigilyph, counter it with Air Slash!" I called out. Sigilyph lifted it's wings, and hit the ball, sending the ball right back to Emolga.
"Emolga, Aerial Ace on the ball!" Elesa yelled. Emolga flapped her wings at incredible speeds, and flew off, right into the ball. The ball then flew back in our direction. This was getting the crowd incredibly excited - they were all out of their seats, chanting our names.
"Sigilyph, try to fly up!" Skyla said. Sigilyph flapped it's wings, and raised to the ceiling of the plane, except it got hit by the ball at the tip of it's body. Despite the super-effective move, Sigilyph still seemed like he was energetic. The crowd seemed like they were chanting for Elesa now, due to the attack. We'll just have to turn that around.
"Emolga, another Electro Ball, go!" Elesa called out. The same thing happened again. Emolga flapped her wings faster and faster, until a yellow ball formed. Emolga did a final flap, and the ball was sent straight to Sigilyph.
"Sigilyph, come back a bit!" I called out. Sigilyph floated back, closer towards me. "Okay Sigilyph, send the ball to Emolga using Psychic!" I shouted. Sigilyph closed his eyes, and concentrated on the ball. The ball slowed down, and sped the other way, except this time, the ball had a different colour - it was a light blue colour. It hit Emolga hard.
"C'mon Emolga! Use Attract!" Elesa called out. Emolga flew close to Sigilyph, and winked at Sigilyph. It then put both hands over it's mouth, and blew kisses to Sigilyph. Sigilyph was staring into thin air. The crowd went wild as they continued to call out Elesa's name. Elesa only smiled at them.
"C'mon Sigilyph, snap out of it!" I called out. "Use Psychic!" Sigilyph didn't even move; he just floated there, still looking at nothing in particular. "Sigilyph, hey, we're in a battle."
"Emolga, use Electro Ball." Elesa smiled. Emolga flapped her wings again, and the yellow ball once again appeared. The ball was delivered right into Sigilyph, with nothing he could do. Sigilyph seemed like he was growing tired now.
"Sigilyph, please!" I cried. Sigilyph moved slightly. I jumped with joy. "good job, Sigilyph, just pay attention now."
"Hmph, finish it off with Electro Ball, Emolga!" called out Elesa. Yet another ball was formed, and flew straight at Sigilyph.
"Okay, Sigilyph, dodge, then use Psychic!" Skyla called out. Sigilyph closed his eyes again, and concentrated, yet this time, it was on Emolga. However, as soon as he concentrated, he fell in love again. I sighed. "Sigilyph, c'mon!"
"Emolga, let's finish this off with Aerial Ace!" Elesa called out. Emolga flapped it's wings, faster and faster, until it shot off, and slammed right into Sigilyph. Sigilyph was sent straight into the wall, and slid to the ground.
"Elesa is the winner!"
The crowd roared, as Elesa waved to everyone, grinning, with Emolga waving as well. I couldn't help but grin as well. It was quite the battle. The podium moved over next to each other so both opponents could congratulate each other. "Congratulations, Elesa!" I smiled, shaking her hand.
Elesa smiled as well. "Good job."
You all saw Elesa vs Skyla. It was undeniable. Midnight squiggle bath

Elesa and I jumped off the plane. I felt something vibrate in my pocket. "Hold on, Elesa, I think someone's texting me," I told her. She nodded. I pulled the mobile out of my pocket, and read the text message, sent from Brad. "heyy, wait for me, k?" I replied with a simple "k" before putting my phone back in my pocket. "We need to wait for Brad. He shouldn't be too long."
I looked around Lilycove, and found that it was really big. Lilycove was built right next to the sea, so Wingulls and a few Pellipers flew over our heads. There was a beach nearby, which had people swarming around, building sandcastles and swimming in the waters. There was so many buildings on land as well. I knew Elesa saw the Department Store straight away, and there was also a Pokémon Contest building, which I've heard about a lot from the media. Contests are not popular in Unova, and I don't think they ever will be, but I'd love to see one in real life. Many big houses were built right near the beach, and close to the department store. And lastly, the Pokécenter was bigger than most Pokécenters. It was almost like a hotel. I guess that's where we'd be staying before we start the Race.
"Oh, by the way, we're all going to the Department Store," Elesa told Skyla.
I laughed, "Okay Elesa, if it makes you happy,"
Moments passed before Brad appeared. He grinned. "Looks like a great place. Maybe we should all move here."
"Yeah, good luck getting that through Papa," I told him. "Elesa wants us all to start at the Department Store."
"Ha, what's new?"
"Shut up, Brad," Elesa glared. "I haven't been shopping in ages."
Brad threw his hands up. "Whatever you say, Els."
"Ooh, bargain!" Elesa squealed when she saw an electric blue dress. It was strapless, and came with a black belt to go around the waist. "I shall buy this for tomorrow night," she smiled. I rolled my eyes.
"Elesa, I think I'm gonna go look at some other stuff, is that okay with you?"
"Go for it, hun, I'll buy something for you."
I smiled, "Thanks, Elesa." I walked away to go look for some Pokémon things. I walked into one store, where they had special gems and stones for sale. Rubies, emeralds, diamonds, all cut beautifully. They also offered different jewellery with the gems included. It didn't seem to be my shop until I spotted a stone at the corner of my eye. I walked over there, and looked at it. The stone was a bright stone, with different shades of yellow. There was a chart next to it, with different Pokémon that evolved from this stone. Roselia, Miccino... oh! "May I help you with anything, m'am?" the store manager asked.
"Oh, what's this stone called?" I asked.
"This is the Shiny Stone," he said. "Are you interested?"
"Yes, could I have one?"
He smiled, "That'd be 10 000 dollars, missy."
I cringed. "That much?" I pulled out my purse. I counted 10 000 dollars, and handed it over. "Thanks!" I smiled.
"Thank you for coming," he smiled back. I walked back over to the store where Elesa is. She was pulling out a new suit, for Brad, I assumed. She glanced up when she noticed me.
"Oh hey, what do you think of this?" she asked, as she turned the suit around. It was a fairly traditional suit. It was a black tuxedo, with black trousers. Skyla picked out a white collared shirt, and a red velvet bowtie. She also picked out shiny black shoes.
I smiled. "Looks great, Elesa," I reassured her. "There's a great shop down south with really great jewellery, by the way." Elesa raised her head.
"I was wondering where the jewellery is. Thanks, Skyla!"
"Do you know where Brad is?" I asked. Brad avoided as soon as we walked in. Honestly, I think he was just trying to avoid Elesa's shopping addiction.
Elesa nodded. "He went to the food court, I think."
"Is this seat taken?" I asked. Brad looked up from his burger, and smiled.
"Go for it, sis," he told me, with a mouthful of munched-burger. I sat down across from him with my tray of pasta.
"That's totally attractive, by the way," I told him while twirling my fork. "I bet girls dig munched up burger."
He grinned. "I bet they do." He looked around before leaning over. "Hey, speaking of girls, can I ask you something?"
"Shoot." I told him, before taking a mouthful of my pasta.
"You think I have a chance with Els?" he asked.
I giggled. "Yeah, maybe," I told him. "But I can assure you that she wouldn't go out with a guy that speaks with his mouth full."
"Pssh, she totally would go out with me," he told me. "Anyway, I wanna go to check out the Pokémon Contest place, but I think we'll need to go to the Pokécenter first. Is that where we'll be staying for the next few days?"
"I think so." I said. "The building looks like a hotel, so I think it should be,"
"Alright, I'll meet up with Elesa, and then we can leave. Just finish up your pasta, and meet us down with Elesa," Brad said. He walked off, down the escalator.
"I dunno why we had to leave," Elesa told us. "There was a thousand more places we could've seen."
"We need to sign into our rooms, Elesa," I told her. She was getting a little angry with all the bags hanging off her arms. She was becoming exhausted. "We're almost there, Elesa."
"You better be bloody right," she hissed. She was almost dragging the bags along. A few meters later, and we reached the Pokécenter Hotel place. We all went inside, and was in awe of the Pokécenter. The first floor was decorated with the finest plants, planted in black and white marble pots. A fountain was placed to the right of the room, making splashing noises. There were black tiles, with a red carpet, lining up straight to the back of the room, where Nurse Joy stood. To the left, there was a sign on a stand; "Welcome Fellaci Racers!"
"You must be here for the Fellaci Race, right?" asked Nurse Joy.
"Yeah, is this where we're staying?" Brad asked.
"Mhm, but you'll have to sign up first," Nurse Joy told us. "What's your names?"
"Well, I'm Skyla Quinn."
"I'm Brad Quinn."
"And I'm Elesa Hasher."
"Well, welcome guys, your rooms are 089, 090 and 091. Enjoy your stay!" Nurse Joy said as she dropped the keys in Brad's hands.
"Thanks, Nurse, we will," Brad told her.
I dropped all my bags of Elesa's shopping my room, and looked around the room. The 3 of our rooms were connected, so it was good way to all chat. There was a shared kitchen, and living room. We got our own personal bathroom and bedroom. It was pretty sweet. Brad walked in through the door of his room. "Hey, I have an idea. Screw the race, let's live here."
I laughed. "Wouldn't mind doing that, actually," I told him. It was quite a good room, and since it's all connected, it was a really great place. Elesa came into my room.
"My arms feel like crap. Let's go to the Pokémon Contest place," Elesa said.
"Alright, let's go, guys," Brad said. We all walked out of the room, and down to the Pokémon Contest Building. We walked in to see many people turned up for the event. There was a popcorn and sweets place, tickets, and also a TV to show the backstage. "Hey, I'll go get the tickets!" Brad told us.
"And I'll get the popcorn," Elesa smiled.
"Alright, I'll be over at the TV," I told everyone. As they walked over to the lines, I walked over to the big screen, as well as a lot of people. I was looking through the crowds, but I saw one person in particular. "Lenora?" I asked. Lenora turned around and saw me.
"Skyla," she smiled. "Fancy seeing you here, dear."
"You're here for the Fellaci Race?" I asked.
"I'm not the only one either," Lenora pointed to the TV. On the screen was another familiar character.
"Burgh!" I squealed. Burgh was a good friend of mine, we both went to the same high school, and graduated in the same year. We both promised that we'd become the best trainers we could be, and that led us to be gym leaders. I must admit that we haven't caught up for a while, but I still consider him as a great friend. "Wait, he entered the Contest?" I asked.
Lenora nodded. "He was always a fan of the Pokémon Contests, and he's always practiced in his spare time, hoping one day he'll go to Hoenn for a vacation," Lenora told me. "And then the Fellaci Race came up, and it gave him a reason to go there and go into a Contest."
"Well, that's really great of him," I smiled. Not much has changed from him. He wears his light green shirt, with a leather jacket over it, with red skinny jeans and black converse shoes. He sat on a stool with his Leavanny, smiling greatly. I also saw another familiar face. "Falkner?"
"What's wrong, honey?" Lenora asked.
"Oh, nothing," I murmured.
"Welcome to the Pokémon Contest, everybody!" came a voice over the loudspeaker. "Here's your host, Brandon!" As his name was called out, Brandon ran from under the red curtains, and appeared on stage. The crowd went crazy, everyone was standing up and clapping, some were even yelling out his name. Brandon laughed, and motioned everyone to take a seat.
"Welcome, please, take a seat," Brandon told the audience. "Welcome to the Pokémon Contest!" Another set of applause went through before it silenced out. "Tonight, we have a special show on for you guys. Yes, we have those who are participating in the Fellaci Race! Before we move on, let's introduce our judges. First of all, Nurse Joy, the local nurse at Lilycove! Second, Winona, the gym leader of Fortree Gym! And lastly, but certainly not least, May, a trainer, and also a Pokémon Co-ordinator." The audience once again applauded. "So, guys, wanna see our first contestant?" The crowd went crazy again, screaming out yes. "Alright, here's Jess, with her Chansey!"
Out came a girl with a round, pink Pokémon. I paid attention just to learn about Jess, since I might meet her in the Race. I want to be ready to counter her. "Alright, guys, ready for our appeal?" Jess shouted. The audience cheered. "Alright, Chansey, let's use Fling, followed up with DoubleSlap!" Jess shouted. Chansey was holding some kind of bottle. Chansey threw it into the air, and jumped up to hit it. The bottle smashed open to release a bright powder. The crowd applauded, and some cheered. "Okay Chansey, let's use Icy Wind!" Jess yelled. Chansey waved her hands, as a cool breeze came about, sending the powder across the whole auditorium. The crowd gasped before letting out a big cheer. "Alright, Chansey, let's finish it up with Blizzard!" If the Icy Wind was already cold enough, the Blizzard sent snow right into the audience. The blizzard started to wear off, and in the middle of stage was snow and bright powder - nothing else. The crowd gasped, before clapping and cheering loudly. The crowd started to chant Jess' name.
Brandon came back out on stage. "Wow, what a great performance! Give it up for Jess!" The crowd once again gave an applause to Jess. "Next up, a gym leader all away from Unova, please make a warm welcome for Burgh!" This was the only time Brad, Elesa, Lenora and I stood up to cheer the fellow contestant on.
The stage went completely dark, and pitch black. "Leavanny, use Leaf Storm, followed up with String Shot!" Burgh's voice echoed through the auditorium, as sounds of strong winds could be heard. "Alright! Use Air Slash!" Burgh cheered, as another set of strong winds could be heard. The lights suddenly came on. The lights blinded the whole crowd, but once our eyes adjusted, we could all see what was happening. The whole auditorium was filled with spider webs, with leaves stuck on them. Some of the webs were hanging down into the crowd, and you could see Burgh and Leavanny up above on the webs. Everyone stood up to applaud him, and cheered on his name. He jump back down onto the main stage, and bowed. He went back under the stage.
"Gotta say, that boy did me proud," Lenora said.
Brandon came back on stage. "Lovely appeal from Burgh! Give him another applause!" The crowd broke into screams for Burgh. The crowd must've really loved Burgh's appeal. Well, I know I did. "Alright, last but not least, we have a gym leader from Johto, put your hands together for Falkner!"
Elesa and Brad both looked at me in a concerning way. I just crossed my legs and slid down in my chair. Falkner walked out on stage, with his Pellipper following him. "Pelliper, use Attract!" Falkner yelled. Pellipper opened its mouth, releasing love hearts across the stage. The crowd 'ooh'd', and applauded. "Alright, Pellipper, use Rain Dance." Falkner said. He seemed to be getting sadder each move he used. The whole auditorium started to pour rain. Screams errupted from the audience, some laughing. "Pellipper, use Air Slash..." Falkner murmured. Pellipper hit the hearts in half with its wings. The audience stayed silent. I stayed silent. "Thank you." Falkner bowed, and left the stage.

"Falkner, what are you doing outside in the rain? Come inside!"
Falkner was dripping wet. He walked into the house, just on the corner of Mode Street, located in Castelia City. Falkner took off his shoes as I walked into the kitchen. "You must be freezing," I giggled. "Would you like a hot chocolate?" I asked. He grabbed a stool, and sat down.
"Hm... I was hoping not to be long, Skyla," he told me.
"Oh, what's up?" I grinned, though he didn't seem impressed.
"Well, Skyla, I have some good news," he smiled for once. He pulled out a document from his jacket, and handed it to me. "Read it."
I grabbed the document, and quickly scanned through it. I looked up at him, grinning. "Falkner, this is great!" I exclaimed. "You've always wanted to become a Gym Leader!"
"Yes, but read the bottom bit."
I looked at the paper again. "Johto?" I read it over again. "Huh, why Johto?" I asked.
"I dunno, but they just gave me the job," Falkner shrugged.
"Well, I don't mind Johto! From what I've seen, Johto is a really great place, with great people. We can start our lives there!" I smiled. Falkner didn't share the same enthusiasm.
"No, Skyla, I don't want you to come."
"I don't want you to come."
Tears came flooding down my face. I started to breathe heavy. I looked at Falkner to see if he was joking, but Falkner wasn't the kind to joke, and even this, he wasn't joking. I just stood there, speechless.
"You remind me of my father, Skyla..."
"That doesn't make me feel better."
My voice was wavy from crying too much. Falkner started to get up from the stool. "Why?" I asked.
"I've already said it, Skyla," Falkner growled.
"Don't get moody with me, Falkner, I'm not the one breaking up with you..." I retorted. Falkner started to walk to the front door.
"Please, don't go..." I told him.
"Skyla, stop it!" he barked. I stepped back. "You're not helping."
"Well, what's going to help?" I whispered. "Please..."
"Not unless you stop," I replied, still crying. Falkner opened the door.
"Goodbye, Skyla," Falkner said. Tears were welled up in his eyes as he looked back at me for the last time.
"Goodbye..." I said in defeat. He shut the door.
It's short, but it's meant to be.

"Morning..." I groaned back. I scanned the fridge until I found the carton of orange juice. I pulled it out.
"How'd you sleep?" asked Elesa. She took another sip of her coffee. I walked over to the bench, and pulled out a glass.
"Not well, to be honest," I replied. I pulled a glass out of the cabinet. "You guys doing anything today?"
Elesa nodded. "Brad and I were thinking of going to the beach. Then tonight is the Walkthrough," Elesa told me. I poured out the orange juice into my glass. "You can come to the beach with us, of course," she offered.
"Yeah, why not?" I smiled.
"Awesome!" Elesa exclaimed. "Well, I'm gonna get changed."
The beach was jammed packed, full of people. There were people swimming in the waves, people building sandcastles, and people simply relaxing in the sun. "Wow, the beach here is amazing!" Elesa shouted, running towards the sand. "What should we do first?"
"I say a battle, Elesa," Brad told her.
"Well, I don't think we've ever had a battle before. Why not now?" Brad told Elesa.
"Hm..." she smiled. "Bring it!"
"Deerling, you're up!" Brad said. Out came the deer Pokémon that I remember from my other battles. Deerling jumped on its front legs, and kicked the air. "Let's do our best!"
"Floatzel, you're up!" Elesa threw the Pokéball into the air. Out came an orange otter. She took a battling stance, calling out it's name. "Let's win," Elesa smiled.
"Deerling, let's start with Energy Ball!" Brad called out. Deerling opened his mouth, and formed a green ball in front of his mouth. Deerling jumped back, and head butted the ball, sending it straight into Floatzel. It hit Floatzel straight in the stomach, launching it back.
"C'mon Floatzel, use Ice Beam!" Elesa cried. Floatzel picked herself up. She opened her mouth, and inhaled. It seemed like tiny particles of ice went into Floatzel's mouth as well. When Floatzel exhaled, a beam of ice shot right at Deerling. It hit Deerling face on, sending him into the waves. "Way to go, Floatzel!"
"Hit Floatzel with another Energy Ball, Deerling!" Brad commanded. Deerling jumped out of the waters, shook his body, spraying water everywhere, and repeated the process of making the actual ball. Deerling opened his mouth once again, and an emerald green ball appeared. Deerling head butted the ball, and it flew into Floatzel. Floatzel fell to her knees, and struggled to get up again. However, Floatzel put in the strength, and go back on her feet.
"Floatzel, go into the ocean, and use Surf!" Elesa shouted. Floatzel jumped into the waters, and raised her arms. Small waves started to appear, until bigger and bigger ones approached the shores. After a while, huge waves crashed down, and one crashed down on Deerling, which, mind you, also wet us. Deerling was lying down on the sand, unable to battle. Elesa squealed, "Go Floatzel!"
"Good job, Deerling," Brad smiled, as he returned his Pokémon.

I slipped on the outfit, which was a sparkly blue dress, with wings attached onto it. I giggled as I saw that this was meant to look like an angel, and I quickly made the connection of angels to flying Pokémon. The outfit was also accompanied by a sapphire necklace, and also white high heeled shoes. I took out my hair tie, and let my hair fall over my left shoulder. I looked into the mirror and fixed up my hair before someone knocked on the door.
"May I come in?" Elesa's voice asked from the other side of the door.
"Yeah, sure," I told her. Elesa walked into the room in her formal attire. She was wearing the electric blue dress she picked out yesterday, with the belt around her waist. With it, she also wore a black cardigan, and also a ruby necklace. She wore sunglasses - even though it wasn't needed, since it was pitch black outside - and a big, black hat - one you'd expect at the races or something. She wore a wig that matched her real hair colour, but turned to white. She also wore knee-high long boots, and pearl ear rings. "Look at you!" she squealed.
"It's nothing compared to you," I told her. I smiled. "Are you ready to go out?"
"Sure." she replied. She opened the door, and let us out. In the corridors waited Brad, wearing the smashing tuxedo that Elesa picked out for him yesterday.
"Hey, angel," he smirked. I smiled in return, and I walked out with Brad and Elesa.
"Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodit'selesaohmygodELESAELESAOVERHERE!" Crowds of people shouting everywhere, mostly Elesa's name. I'm not surprised either, with the beauty and media Elesa gets, it's only natural she gets crowds following her everywhere. Though, I don't think Elesa was used to big crowds.
And me? Well, I had my small fanbase. Having my own airlines isn't as big as modelling, however I did have my fans. Ironically, my bigger fans were more interested in Brad, especially the females. Fan handing me pieces of paper, camping equipment, the whole lot.
For those who don't know, The Walkthrough is the first time contestants actually formally introduce themselves to the crowds. Many famous trainers may be seen around Lilycove, but for all we know, they may just be holidaying rather than competing in the race. This is the chance to show the audience who you are. The other reason we have The Walkthrough is a chance for the audience to give equipment to the contenders in the race. Water bottles, special clothing, even tents. Once you're in the race, the only things you bring are money, basic items, and things people give you during The Walkthrough. See, this is where your celebrity status comes in. Elesa is getting packages of things for her, because of her modelling and gym leader status, however Brad, being co-founder of an airline company, is only getting a little bit of items. The Walkthrough goes through the whole city, starting from the Pokécenter, and making it's way around the city. Many people come here just for this event.
I saw Lenora and Burgh in the distance carrying around bags of different things. They were making their way back to their rooms in the hotel. Lenora was wearing a stunning black dress that flowed to the floor, while Burgh was wearing a white collared shirt with a black blazer, and black trousers. Guess they went for a black theme. "Hey guys," I smiled.
"Hey Skyla, you okay tonight?" Lenora asked with a concerned face.
"Mhm." I said. "How've you two been this evening?"
"Pretty great, actually," Burgh replied. "You do not understand how many fans are out there, especially in Hoenn. Though we should get back, we have a busy day ahead. Have a good night, Skyla!"
"Alright, bye guys," I waved, and they walked into the Pokémon Center. I continued walking through the city, talking to many fans about my strategies, and them giving me gifts. By the end of the night, I was exhausted, and started to walk back to the Pokécenter, with only a few more trainers walking around. I went up to my room, to find someone in the kitchen. I suspected that it was Brad, but it didn't really bother me. I just kicked off my shoes and went to sleep.
Sorry for the long wait, guys, I've been pretty busy with school work, but I should be a bit more active now since I'm on school holidays. ^^ The next three chapters may be set out differently, or at least Chapter Nine and Ten. Gonna just have to wait and see what it is. :3
