Mike He is a begining trainer, reciving his first Pokemon from his Uncle Prof. Kyle. He never knew his father very well, but wairs his hat. His Pokemon are Lucario, Electivire, Claws, Drapion, and a Gliscor. He has earned all of the Gym Badges, thus having defeated all of the Gym Leaders. He is also an Independant Character.
Reuben He is another trainer who recieved his first Pokemon from Prof. Kyle. His Pokemon are, Alakazam, Rapidash, Absol, Haunter, Cardits, and a Dusknoir. He is from Porte Town.
Rachael She is the third trainer to recieve a Pokemon from Prof. Kyle. Her Pokemon are, Weavile, Vulpix, Magnazone, and Xachu.
w111j He is the creator of AoDA, and is it's gaurdian aswell. He is currently building a team to stop Dark Arceus from escaping his prison. His Pokemon are, Gallade, Rotom, and a Xabra, one of the ones he created, but is the only one that didn't run away.

Do NOT get overly nit-picky about any errors I make. Yes, I do enjoy having someone point out a mistake every so often, but if you absolutely must pick out every last error, you really have no excuse. I'm going to hit you on the head. Chances are I'm not going back to fix it anyway, depending on how major it is. If it's enough to get the point across without being too distracting, I'll likely leave it be regardless of anyone pointing it out. 7. If you know what's happening next, DON'T SPOIL IT. Some of you might get hints from me when we chat. So, it isn't unlikely that some of you have an obvious hunch as to what's going to happen next some of the time. Well, please aknowledge that there are in fact some readers that are completely new to the series, and that they might want to have it kept a surprise. Besides, for all you know, I could have changed it for my own reasons and you could be very wrong. If you must speak of future events outside of speculating, please use spoilers and label them appropriately. 8. Do NOT god-mod about spam in the thread. It is a fairly common rule throughout the internet as a whole that spamming is frowned upon, and hopefully you all know that by now; well enough to even tell what is and what is not spam and gripe after people for it. However, keep in mind that this thread in particular is, more or less, just the 'comments box', if you will. That means that the only things 'on topic' that can be posted here are simple phrases that give comments to the latest release. Notice how such a policy voids all chance for discussion and severely limits what can be said here. Therefore, the rule on what is and what is not spam is to be determined by myself and myself alone, save for the forum moderators and other users with site authority that directly affects this forum. I believe I stated myself quite clearly on this. But since Zoroark failed to read the instructions and blurted out the answer, It would seem that it has all been spoiled.

Not all adresses to persons require commas. Sir is not someone's actual name, even if it is used to represent someone. And even when you say someone's name, that doesn't mean their name has to be surrounded with commas either. Like I said, if you don't know the rule.

Not really, you could use "the gym leader" and "the challenger" as pronouns, in this case, you're using it as a title.
Whether they're pronouns or titles is not the point. Their names are Restrictive elements, meaning they are important to the structure of the sentence. You only put nonrestrictive elements in between commas.

Oh, no, I'm not giving up on this. My life has been fairly hectic for a while, and still is. I actually started on an issue several weeks ago, but never finished it. If time(and inspiration, for a large part) allows, I'll try to pop a couple out this weekend.

It's not uncommon for a Gym Leader to visit another town or place in their region. It happens a lot in HeartGold and SoulSilver. And Jasmine is seen in Sinnoh in the games as well. Juan was a special case, though. Lol.

She says it, and if you eventually make it up to the Master Level of Super Contests, you have a chance of her being one of your competitors.
I'm assuming the honey has some significance in the plot, since you wouldn't do a whole issue with Mike talking with the honey salesman otherwise.

EDIT: Just wanted to point on an inconsistency before anyone else could. The change in Alahna's name color changed becuase I made Issue 218 back when I made 217, but didn't feel like it was a good time to post it with no battle.
Also, yes, I did take the whole idea of the Pokemon Boxes from DDD2 cause I thought it would be cool to try out since this is kind of an Official Tournament of sorts. I will not, I repeat WILL NOT be doing that again. Even if it causes in consistencies for the rest of the tournament, it pretty much doubled the time I spent working on that single issue, and they don't look nearly as pretty as DDD2's, and I don't want to copy his exactly even if I did continue to use them for battles.

Just remember that to surpass Shiny, your issue count has to exceed his by FOUR, because issues 148, 149 and 150 were authored by me and thus add nothing to your total.
After a full day of working, I am now only 9 issues behind.
In total comics, sure. He's running another comic(2 others, really, if you count RMY), and we've both competed in the Comic Olympics plus participation in the Community Comic. However, you only count the main issues of your comic in your issue count for Total Comics for ComicZ(Examples are RMX, AoDA, RS, PtJ, Blarg, etc.).
What the hell was that lagging tail for?? Meh, who cares?? Hmmm, so we get new characters seemingly evil working in the back lines... Can't wait to see what are they up to!! Also, at this rate you'll catch Shiny by the end of the week!!
Apparently Mike was trying to strategize by using the Lagging Tail to maximize the power of Heavy Slam, even though it would, in a normal scenario, do absolutely nothing to help and only do all to hinder... but for the sake of the comic, we'll just say it helped.
Lagging Tail increases weight, though. I did my research, Adam. Heavy Slam does more damage depending upon how much heavier the user is compared to the target.
I was expecting the revelation of who Mike's father is to be a little more mystical, but this is interesting enough. It looks like you're really getting into the meat of the story now. Keep it up.

I'm starting to regret making this bet now. I wasn't expeccting you to go all in this early.
Cause, you know, YOU never ever have a few errors. And it can ONLY be because I made multiple issues.
And if you want to call off the bet because of this, then that's fine. You really didn't expect me to go all in early, but that's how I like to do things.
Also, the 6-issue release isn't just for the bet, I had planned on doing a big release number soon, and the bet just so happened to coincide perfectly to allow that.

I actually read the issue twice, but I still didn't get the point, or how she was trying to show it. Guess I'm feeling a bit thick today... Could you please explain it with easy words?
Mike chose a bad match-up against Byron, and just kept trying to plow through cause he figured he was stronger. He WAS, but the disadvantage of not having any Super Effective moves against a Pokemon that DID was a very un-smart move. So Jasmine basically repeated the strategy with her Steelix against Mike's Lucario, even though Steelix can learn Earthquake and hers does.
Even simpler than that: Mike was being WAY overconfident, so Jasmine just tried to show him that.
RMX. Xavier. Of course, you just had to go there. Even if it was coincidence.
Xavier WAS a coincidence. Completely forgot about him cause, you know, he never sees much of any action anymore. But RMX was COMPLETELY on purpose. Just a little shout-out to Shiny and his comic Rescue Mission X. :3
Tell me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Shiny will need to make 10 issues to get ahead of me at this point. :L There will be more later, but I'll let you guys drink this in before posting any of them.
I may have to forfeit the bet. With school and stuff, I really don't have time to keep up with all these issue. This isn't an official forfeit though. I'll forget about reason and try to catch up anyway. Fighting spirit, right?

...You haven't even been reading AoDA since we started the bet? o-o Cause like, he got dismantled back when Mike was unconscious after being pushed into the ocean.
You started the bet with a huge splurge and since then I've been busy trying not to lose. Beside, it'll be nice to be able to sit down one day and read all those issues at once. The only part I read was the part where you revealed Riddle Master Xavier's name because Fawful pointed out the resemblance.
...:L OK then, lol. Then I'll have to go back and put all these in the Smackjeevs archive after I win so that you can more easily read them all.
Yeah guys, bet's over. Sorry, I guess me and Shiny were kind of just steamrolling WAY too fast for our own good. But in case you couldn't tell, I'll be updating a new issue every day for an undetermined about of time.

Darkonis' "Capture" seals the target into a prison of energy, and then Darkonis sends them to the Angel's Courts. The prison stays active until Darkonis or the Angel Elders deactivate it.
I bet Mike's battle will be even more unpredictable. o:
I would think that I'd left you guys enough hints by now to figure out the big twist at for Mike's battle, but there will be a lot of you who will be surprised.

Lucario probably got one-hit KOed. It would be a bit strange for you to end this issue there if it didn't.
You know, they have this great new concept in storytelling called cliffhangers. It's where they leave on hanging on some fairly crucial event, but not telling you how it ends right then, and the only real reason is to build suspense and mess with you. :3
For any of you that were surprised(AKA, Shiny) Don't forget that Lucario WAS his starter, and would obviously be one of his strongest Pokemon, and not likely to be OHKO'd.
And that is all she wrote. I have personally had a very great and wonderful time doing this. I've had fans come in, leave, magically disappear, and make amazing spin-off redos of my fallings in the original first season's beginning. But to one and all, I'd just like to say thank you. Without the fans, there wouldn't really be any reason to have continued making this.
Now, I'm going to tell you that I'm not going to just up and stop comic making. As pretty much all of you have seen, I've been doing a crossover with DDD2 and Blarg, and I'll probably do many more. I also have another comic planned, but I'm not going to tell you when it's coming, or anything about it except for one hint. I'm not abandoning Amplus. Also, I will probably try to release some little funny one-shot or three-panels issues just for the heck of it.
If there is anyone who has NOT read Advent of Dark Arceus from the beginning and would like to, I suggest you do so, and the easiest way is to probably do it from aoda.smackjeeves.com, as the entire archive of issues is there, including these last three though they're not scheduled for public viewing until around 11PM tonight EST.
