Prologue:
You get used to silence if you choose to be so. But when you're forced to be, is when the trouble starts.
Hoshiko was forced to be silent. Not told to be. Forced. Her tongue had been cut out. She didn't speak because she couldn't. But she used other ways.
Hoshiko was telepathic. Her mother Ciara (or what she was really named) had abandoned her when she was 3, just after her father had cut out her tongue.
She didn't know who he was. Her Pokemon understood. They were the only ones who cared.
Keahi, her Eevee, had been with her since birth. Hoshiko thought her mother had an eeveelution.
Nisha, her Poochyena, had been given to her on her fifth birthday.
Donar, her Pichu. He was her first capture.
She was only 16, and she was being kicked out. What her 'carers' didn't know was she was going to find out everything. Including the answers to unspoken lies.

Her first night was spent on the street. Cold and uncaring people passed her by, until one stopped.
"You look like a good trainer."
She remained silent. She would speak, but she couldn't. She responded in another way.
"What do you want?"
"I am a Scout for Team Sahirah, the Team that will cleanse the Earth. You clearly are a reluctant mute. You didn't choose to be like that, did you?"
"No."
"Then join us, and find your true calling. You could be great you know. Focus your skills, and train hard and you could be an Admin like me one day. But for now... You need somewhere to stay, don't you?"
"Yes."
"Then come with me. I can get you a room at the training dorms, then you can fight your way up the ranks after training, be... a Sensei maybe."
She looked up at the man.
"Who... are you?"
"I am Hashim the Destroyer. And you?"
"Hoshiko."
"Nice name."
He held out a hand. She hesitated, then took his warm, dark hand.
"Welcome aboard, Hoshiko."

"Welcome to Team Sahirah, Hoshiko."
She looked up, and the circular builings floors were built like rings; you could see from top to bottom, except for the last floor. Hashim caught her looking.
"That's the boss' office. He and his Pokemon are up there."
A woman with long blond hair, pinned pack at her temples strode over briskly, and stopped before Hashim.
"Hashim! So good to see you!"
The woman's Persian purred as Hashim stroked his ears.
"Good to see you too, Atalanta."
"And you are...?"
"Atatlanta, this is Hoshiko, Hoshiko, Atalanta is our Pokemon hunter, she catches rare pokemon and sells them on to fund our resource department. Pretty apt really. Her name is greek, and it means 'Mighty Huntress'."
"Nice to meet you."
Atalanta was nonplussed.
"Did she...?"
"Yes. She cannot speak in the way we do. She is a mute."
Atalanta nodded. Her pager beeped, and she looked at the message she had received.
"Must dash, a wild Salamence has appeared near Hearthome."
"What's so special about that?"
"It's an Alternative form."
"Ah."
She left in a flurry of movement, and the lobby quietened.
"I must take you to the Under Boss, she'll decide who you train under."

She was sat outside the Under Boss' office, and she could hear Hashim telling the boss about her.
"Hoshiko..."
She looked up, Hashim stood before her.
"The boss wants to see you."
She nodded and entered the office. A woman with long black hair sat behind the desk.
"You must be Hoshiko. I am Kaida Itou, the Under Boss."
"Nice to meet you."
Hoshiko was happy to see the boss did not bat an eyelid at her telepathy.
"I have decided you will train under Hashim, as he seems to have taken a shine to you. He is pleased that I have chosen him.
"Let me tell you about Team Sahirah, Hoshiko. We are here to clean up after the old teams. Aqua, Magma, Glactic, Neo Rocket, Rocket, whatever. They messed up, but we won't. We're going to take out the big companies that test make up on Pokemon, household cleaners on pokemon, etcetera. We're going to destroy the big companies that exploit natural resources.
"Sure, we steal pokemon, but we do it to change the world for... the better."

OOC: Guys, I'm writing this into a Trilogy.
BIC:
The room she was put in to get changed was a communal locker room used by men and women. No one cared, they just changed and left. She opened the locker she had been given, and gasped. The Jumpsuit within it was beautiful. It was pure white, but when you moved it, it changed colour to suit the backl ground you held it against.
"Nice, isn't it?"
She turned, and a man stood facing her. She breathed out sharply - a knotted scar twisted his smile, stretching from one corner of his mouth to his ear lobe, giving the cruel facsimile of an impish smile. It marred his nearly perfect face, with the huge dark brown eyes and the short black hair. His lips full, yet somehow oddly thin near the beginning of the scar, which stood out as a faded mauve against his honey coloured skin. He was handsome in the way a man is handsome whe he has the 'beaten up once to often' sort of look, and he had been beaten up once too often.
"I'm Faolan, I'm training under Hashim the Destroyer."
She was surprised by this.
"I'm Hoshiko, and I'm, also training under Hashim the Destroyer."
He smiled, and the effect on his scar was amazing; it seemed to fade away.
"Great! It'll be great to train together!"
And thus, Hoshiko made a friend, and a friend in need... Is a friend indeed.

"Hoshiko! Raise that gun higher!"
Hashim was in a bad mood. He shouted angrily at both her and Faolan, over the slightest infraction. She looked to her left at Faolan. He was having difficulty holding up the heavy weapon, as he was thin and wiry, built more for speed than strength.
"Faolan! Raise the gun! You're missing every target!"
She heard him grunt an affirmative, then turned back to her own weapon. Raising it, she strafed the target line, missing only one target. Hashim praised her grudgingly.
"Well done Hishiko, but I expect you to hit them all next time."
He let them go, and they wearily headed back to their room.
"He's turned into a complete bastard overnight."
Faolan moaned this as he catapulted himself onto his bed, pulling his shirt off over his head. Hoshiko caught herself staring. His wel defined muscles had awokern something like an insatiable hunger within her, like a hole in her soul.
"You okay, Hoshiko."
She nodded.
"I'm great!"
He sighed, lay back and shut his eyes.
"I'm knackered. Wake me when we're called for food, okay?"
"Sure."
He fell asleep and pretty soon the only sound in the room was his soft breathing. Keahi, her Eevee came out of her pokeball.
"Vee?"
"Me too Eevee. Me too."

She woke him my nudging his arm slightly. He opened his deep brown eyes, and they sucked her in like peat bogs.
"Time?"
"Food Service."
"Okay. I'll get up."
He rolled up right, and stood over her as he pulled on the white t shirt that lay on the foot of his bed. He released his Pokemon so he could feed them.
"Bagon, Trapinch, Eevee, Murkrow and Mudkip. C'mon guys."
She hurriedly released hers.
"Keahi the Eevee, Donar the Pichu, and Nisha the Poochyena."
