I hate it when that happens, you order something online then you wait impatiently everyday, waiting for it to come, and it doesn't come early, it comes like a week or two after. And when it does it comes right in your face. Like your walking out the door and you see the mailman holding it.

So they called a code just a minute ago, on this floor, but it's on the unit next door and I'm stuck in a 1:1 and can't wander my way down to help do CPR or whatever. I really was kinda hoping for an arrest when they called me in to work on ICU tonight too... I wanna go do CPR, not watch someone that attempted suicide sleep all night

Of course I do, I wouldn't pick up extra shifts (like today) if I didn't. Is it bad that I'm semi-hoping the person I'm in 1:1 with arrests tonight? I know she won't, she's absolutely fine now that she's gotten the stuff she OD'd on out of her system, but I can half-way hope can't I? I just want something to do, I miss the excitement from 911.
