Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars: Update page 18 for PSP version - Page 18

yea i guess it suited the ds more but i think any gta they would make for psp or ds or ps2 or ps3 would just be another gta game, the series is somewhat slacking a little on providing us with tottaly revamped feelings.

From where I sit, it still looks like a glorified top-down crapfest. Amazingly enough, the graphics actually look pretty sweet, which makes it even WORSE, and automatic eye-roller. What? They couldn't improve the engine and make it a 3D game when going from the DS to the PSP? Or were they so terrified that the PSP would (with this game) make the DS look like the primitive console it is were they to actually make this...oh, I don't know, a real GTA game?

By the way, I updated the thread caption with the new info on page 18 instead of page 12 since you just posted this, FB.

And my thing is that I don't give a rat's ass now, nor am I ever likely to, about some top down view game, particularly when the PSP has so much more capability than that.

Hahaha! Wouldn't it be ironic if I did? Not that it will happen, because I have zero interest in it for all the reasons I specified, but that is fun to contemplate.

It looks like a revamped version of the first 2 games which I didn't mind but they weren't exactly thrilling, also pissed me off how easy it was to crash into other cars because you couldn't see what was in front of you until you were right into the back of it.

I don't have a DS so I haven't played this at all, I'm still undecided whether to get it or not when it comes out.

Okay, I don't get it. The game is out and the reviewers are all rating this top down game with huge scores. What the hell am I missing here? It looks like a 2D, top-down utter crap-fest to me. I mean if this game came out in 1995, I would definitely say it deserves the high scores, but in 2009? Top Down? Really?

I'm taking a wild guess here: the reviewers have played it? I'm guessing by it looks like that you haven't. Make a decision when you have played it, that's what the reviewers did.
