Regarding GameGuard Errors

Aside from the fact that NCSoft needs to get rid of this bullshit circumvention system for a better one (*cough*Steam*cough*), here's how to remedy almost any GameGuard-related error (as in, something directly messing with the way it functions, not with having file access privileges...sometimes!):

1. Open up your Aion folder. The path is usually C:\Program Files > NCSoft > Aion.

2. Open the bin or bin32 folder.

3. The very first and only folder in that directory is the GameGuard folder. Rename it. Could be LameGuard. FailGuard. 3ameGuard. Anything. Just rename it. This is your fallback in case something goes wrong.

4. Run Aion. GameGuard should reinstall itself automatically.

5. Quit the game, go back to your bin/bin32 folder, and delete the renamed GameGuard folder. HOWEVER, if GameGuard didn't reinstall or something else is going on, you have a more serious issue and may need to retinstall the entire game. Shucks.

If you're running Windows Vista/7, it appears to help if you disable User Account Control/UAC which is all that useless in the first place.

What's the point of that, though? The method I posted is a fresh copy so all you'd need is to trash the old one.

That file is gameguard killer and is not allowed to use since it disables your gameguard ... hacker tool

Also when Aion is ready to play it is possible to get ban if you disable your gameguard (well you used to get in lineage2)
