The trailer itself offers no information on Grid 2, but further details are promised to be announced on August 8. Grid launched on consoles and PC during the summer of 2008, with Codemasters since putting the IP on the back burner in order to focus on DiRT and F1 installments. The reason that the PS3 and PC servers for GRiD were shut down is because Codemasters contract with server hosts Demonware ended so GRiD got shut down. The Xbox 360 version on the other hand still has online support as it uses Xbox Live for matchmaking, it didn't need third party servers.

	I was playing GRiD online for a good two years before the communtity became too thin. I would love a sequel.
