Just had to be the one to post the first negative Final Fantasy XIII review, didn't you Sai?
Oh well. It was well written for what it's worth.

Yeowch, you weren't kidding when you said you didn't like Final Fantasy XIII. Not that I'd praise the game either, but I think I was a bit kinder to it. Oh well. It's mostly a very well written review like your White Knight Chronicles review.
Just one thing, though.quoteIt feels like it was done to try and appease western gamers, which confuses me, because to have world map progression even more shallow than that of Final Fantasy X, which have some towns but is still linear, is just lazy. It's as if all Square had on the mind was "how can we make the world's laziest battle system" and "how can we piss our fans off even more". This part doesn't really feel right. It's like it's the first thing you wrote for the paragraph, and kind of just slapped it in amongst the more detailed version. Should probably rewrite it. Since the rest of the review flows so well, this just looks very out of place. That's all.

quotewhich I enjoy when it comes to experiencing stories in general because it gives me something to enjoy I think I'd change that second "enjoy" to something like "because it gives an added level of depth", since you already said you enjoy it.
Overall a nice review.

In fact, that paragraph doesn't even feel finished. It feels like it goes somewhere, and abruptly stops.
Oh, and this portion stands out as a little off:
quote It's all fairly linear with maybe a few branching paths here and there, though at points, it feels like older RPGs where one split path has enemies at your level, and the other split path has enemies three times stronger than anticipated. In older RPGs, maybe if you went off the beaten path on the world map, but never within the same dungeon. You might want to rewrite this portion.
Then there's this bit:
quoteNot to mention, there are times where grinding alone isn't the solution, though it at least helps you stand a chance. I'd probably change it to:
quote Correction
there are times where grinding alone isn't the solution... And then:
quoteHere, there's no log You mean "lag"? And:
quotebut not nearly as bas You mean "bad"?
AND then this
quoteI never get sick of the song that plays, though there are two different battle tracks – caves, and fields could be:
quote Correction
I never get sick of the song that plays, though that may be because there are actually two different battle tracks – one for the caves, and one for the fields Then there's this:
quoteAs for the voice acting, well, it's not bad, but nails on a chalkboard tend to do a better job of conveying a message than the actors, though some of the writing feels awkward which should be:
quote Correction
As for the voice acting, well, it's not bad, but nails on a chalkboard tend to do a better job of conveying a message than the actors, though that may be because some of the writing feels awkward And sorry to say... I don't like the conclusion. You sounded like a bitter old fart. Try for something more... positive!
But regardless, it's a pretty good review, and with those changes, it'll be even better!

In some respects, WET sounds like a female-fronted version of MadWorld. And that issue with the jumping sounds like what I'm experiencing at the moment as I play through Metroid: Other M.
quoteRubi, gun for hire, is hired to get a briefcase from some gangster from Chinatown Again, just the word popping up so close to itself in the same sentence. I was thinking of suggesting "mercenary" but then realised it wouldn't work. I also found it highly amusing while defining the term that it brought up the band from Denmark and also Bolt Thrower.
P.S. I see knockers (halfway to a good female character... I kid!).

Just edited it a bit. Damn, my vocabulary is getting a bit lazy... not that it'll be an issue outside of this hobby, because there's a good chance I'll be stroking canvases or crunching numbers when I'm done with tertiary education.
And look up Wet Chapter 10 on Youtube for a surprise of sorts

Language is like MadWorld too. x3 Though a bit less swearing perhaps. I love the typical male replies to the video I clicked, especially one of the highest rated:
quoteShe will probably kill you after sex. Still, my last words would be "Worth it!" xD quote Dark Moor
I'll be stroking canvases Just asking for the "you can stroke my canvas any day" reply. xD
I'm scared to put out my next review now, I just know everyone's going to be combing through it with a magnifying glass of epic proportions to try and find something with double-use of a word. My next review should be for the first Austin Powers movie... or Metroid: Other M.

Yep. In fact, I got it out right now!
WET: Looking good. Only a few things. First, there's this:
quoteRubi, gun for hire, is told to get a briefcase from some gangster from Chinatown, which contains something that'll be of help to the person who requested it (for a hefty sum, of course), doesn't make much sense. Reword thanks. Then this:
quoteBy going through more henchmen than people on the respective continents that this revenge quest takes place could use a little rewording too. This:
quoteLike any grindhouse film, the story isn't emphasized much. could do with a bit of expansion... like, why would grindhouse films not put much emphasis on story?
And that's all a shame, because the rest of the review was pretty well written. All these mistakes, by the way, are all in the second paragraph - not very good. A LOT of people read the first few paragraphs, and to leave them going "what!?" will tune them out quicker.
Resonance Of Fate: Surprised I couldn't find any mistakes. Well written review, overall.

Alright guys, Last Rebellion is up now. And Resonance Of Fate has finally been indexed.
Might also add that if you pay attention to what I add to the Gallery, then you'll get an indication of what's going to be reviewed in the future. In this case, Recettea: An Item Shop's Tale, Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 and Sweet Home are up next.Edit: Nov 06, 10

re: Dark Moor's Review Hut

quoteOne major setback is that the monsters are able to inflict status inflictions upon you... wait, did I say inflictions? I meant status infliction! Kind of confused by that sentence. It'd make a lot more sense to me if where you say "wait, did I say inflictions?" it also said "status infliction" and with the actual status infliction said "stun infliction", since you then go on to discuss how you basically only get stunned and that it hardly offers a plethora of status attributes.
quoteIt manages to try and make every situation in the game seem more interesting I'd just say "it tries" there.
Overall a nice review, I'd say it definitely justifies the very low mark you gave it. You'd already put me off as soon as I started reading about the plot. And that one particular image would be enough to put me off as well, that one with the rainbow multipliers hogging the screen space. I can only imagine how tacky that must be in-game.
And I noticed your next reviews while I was on the gallery homepage.
