About 18,000 for my Super Smash Brothers Brawl (WII) review.

I like long reviews to get into detail, but I don't exactly want to drone on and on and bore the reader. 15,000 is my biggest I think.

My newest one for Mystery Dungeon 2.

None of my reviews are very long compared to the ones some of you guys written, but my longest would probably be my Super Smash Brothers Brawl review.

My recent GTA IV review (360) is definitely my longest, but as Mnmfan mentioned, it's a huge game and there was a lot to cover.

How does one tell how long a review is? Stick the entire thing in Word or something?

What I do is copy and paste it into MS Word to see how many characters and words long it is. But if I don't feel like opening up word, I just remove all of the images and mark-up and PM it to myself to give me a good estimate of it.

This is mine. I think it has 11K-12K characters.

Mine is probably 3500 characters, because I like to make reviews that won't tire people out with the hugeness, otherwise, most of my reviews are between 2500-3k =)

The only character count I remember is 8,000 for Street Racing Syndicate.

Honestly, though, length isn't always a sign of quality, but for the levels we want it's definitely recommended reviews are above 2,500 characters, preferably 3,000.

I have never really counted, but most of my reviews should be in the 2000-5000 word count range. They are usually about 3-5 pages on Word, before transferring them to the site. I think that 2000-5000 is perfectly fine for a review - sometimes having more than than feels like it's a bit overdone, and like rambling for the sake of it. Personally, I would not want to read a game review that takes me like 3 hours to get through.

Longest review on Neoseeker would be my GT: Prologuue review, then again I haven't tallied up every review I have done...either way every single one has been more than 3k

45,000 characters is a bit too much for a review, but with something like Super Smash Brothers Brawl (which is what I'm playing at the moment), I guess that's understandable. But wow.


As far as I'm going so far, it's my NES review which is the longest I've written, with 4,687 words and 26,101 characters under its belt.

^ Tell me about it. It was me that approved it and I sat reading the whole thing for a good 15 minutes.
