Since Guild Wars 2 released back in August 2012, ArenaNet has become alarmingly adept at designing sadistic jump puzzles. If you thought the Aetherblade jumping was rough, you guys are going to love the new one up in the new Labyrinthine Cliffs.
This new area is accessible as of today via Lion's Arch. Just talk to the same NPC you would during all that Southsun stuff. Fortunately, the Zephyr Sanctum is a lot prettier, and mercifully free of karka.
As previously teased, the whole Sanctum event revolves around a flying bazaar that docks only periodically. While exploring, you'll find a number of bizarre objects to interact with. Just be wary of the consequences, but it's a whole lot of fun.
Now all that aside, players who logged in today may have noticed a little reward chest waiting for them in the corner of their screen. That's the first of many achievement-based rewards Anet will be handing out in the coming days. Starting out, anyone who has 100 points will get one laurel and one gold.
Checking out the achievement menu will show the new UI as well as what the next rewards are. So far, the only tiers shown are 500 points, 1,000 points, 1,500 points, 2,000 points, and 2,500 points. We'll no doubt be seeing more further down the road, and tomorrow marks the debut of those shiny Zenith crystal weapons.
Happy exploring/achievement hunting.
