Today is January 28, which for Guild Wars 2 players means a big patch. Today's content update has been months in the making, bringing with it some major changes on both the PVP and PVE front. Classes have received skill tweaks, some minimal and others more impactful, and dungeon-running will never be the same.
Regarding dungeons, players will not longer be able to graveyard rush, which essentially means you can't just revive and run back into a fight. Being dead in combat still counts as being in combat. In an effort to balance this, certain bosses have been adjusted to be more manageable. In the Crucible of Eternity dungeon, for instance, Alpha (all versions) and the Destroyer have significantly reduced HP pools now.
If you're someone who's always taken advantage of exploits, however, many of those have been eliminated post-patch.
For Fractals runners, the changes should be a massive blessing. Now, groups will "share" the difficulty rating, which means you can choose the highest difficulty level someone is at, and the lower levels can still participate; rewards will be scaled per player based on their individual Fractals level. Best of all, you can now rejoin a Fractals group after being disconnected. At the same time, groups can bring in new group members in the middle of a run should the need arise.
As previously noted, Laurels are now available as another form of currency, acquired through completing daily and monthly challenges. The gem store updates have been minor, adding only the Quaggon Backpack skin and a flying broom.
The list is pretty extensive, so it's worth going over at the forums for a look at the whole thing. It should be noted that the PVE story saga "Flame & Frost" hasn't been added to the game yet, though all the other gameplay changes are already active.
And as an added bonus, enjoy this screenshot of the updated Dreamer animation. Instead of shooting rainbows, this Legendary bow now shoots unicorns pooping rainbows.

Thanks, Dominic, for the amazing screenshot.
