Anyone aiming for a legendary?

I'd love the rifle, but haven't started on the path yet. You need 200 skillpoints right? That's what that item is for?

Lorx Yea, you need 1 of them to craft a gift along with the 500 badges of honor item, 250 of those shards etc.

Army_man92 While you are correct some of the stuff is immense expensive, I currently own quite a sum of gold aswell as 4 gifts required for my legendary already. It's actually went faster than I expected. I farm my own globs at a rate of about 10-30 a day depending on my luck and whether I feel like crafting, selling and using profit to craft more. I then salvage my 'profit'. For me it isn't for epeen, but I just like going for goals like these. I have already geared my main and I wanted to have something to go for.

The clovers seems to be the way to get 2 of the other gifts required, each time you don't get a clover you often get materials used for those gifts (the highest tier claws etc).

No doubt about it that it's taking me a lot of time, which I still have at the moment (not for much longer though).

Since I read about it before launch I realized I would probably try and go for one. I haven't actively started working on it since last week. I already had about 60 jugs of karma from dailies/monthlies and decided to just give it a go.

I'd probably wait. They said they were going to rework how legendaries are obtained, because as it is right now, they don't feel very legendary, they just feel like they're owned by the best Guild Wars accountants or those with the largest/most dedicated guilds.

I personally haven't bothered with ascended items yet, my source of gear has been dungeon tokens which has also saved me an immense amount of gold (for 3 chars, 5 armor sets total). I have spoken to a nice guy earlier today and I'll probably skip the precursor part for a while as Faust already pointed out, they are working on it.

Shiris The only information they have given was like 1 line of text that they want to turn it into a scavenger hunt. On the forum there is an official response that the karka chests giving precursors and the MF increased droprate is just the first part of what they are working on.
