Launch! (GAME HAS LAUNCHED)

Launch is at 12 midnight PST, but Anet has stated they may bring the servers online up to three hours early.

Seeing as we could possibly be playing GW2 in 13 hours I figured we could have a thread building up to it! I know I'm getting pretty psyched! It is tough to believe this is finally here. I first got GW1 in 2006 and played pretty frequently for a couple years. After that I played off and on; I don't quite remember the timeline but I have thousands of hours sunk into that game. I remember when GW2 was first announced back in like 2007. And well, five years later here we are, its been a long time.

So what are your guys plans leading up to this? It is pretty late at night for most of us but tomorrow is Saturday so hopefully you don't have any other commitments!

For me, I said goodbye to some friends heading off to college last night and I'm pretty much home by myself with nothing to do but GW2. I'll probably take a nap from like 8-12 tonight and just try to enjoy the ride! Hopefully the servers come up at 12EST and it doesn't take until 3EST. If that does happen I'll probably be watching Seinfeld or something while I wait.

Once I get in game I plan to snag all my names. There are only two I'm worried about potentially being stolen so I'm going to try to be quick. Then I'm going to go back and recreate my main Human Ranger and just enjoy. The human starter area will probably be the most crowded and I don't enjoy zergs very much but hopefully I get put onto a quiet overflow or something, haha.

I won't be having access till the 27th since I haven't prepurchased. I will probably end up on a random server like I did on all previous MMO's. None of the people I know is going to play it, one person is still considering but won't start at launch. Hopefully the game will be playable from the day I start (No login queues like D3 heh, or massive amounts of bugs).

Glad to see the OP likes Seinfeld, it's my favorite show!
But I probably won't be playing until tomorrow evening or night as I have to work during the day. Sucks working 7 days a week.

I popped on the neoseeker IRC server and joined/started a #gw2 channel if anybody wants to hang out and be giddy for launch together

Pretty much, everybody's just hitting login as much as they can I guess.

OH WAIT NEVERMIND SERVERS ARE UP!

I fell asleep right at the server crash and it's still not up =/
