Kaclang!

Is it just me or does this spell seem absolutely useless? Turn your whole party into a buch of metal lumps for a few turns, unable to do anything at all. Sure you don't take damage, but you can't heal, you can't fight, and you can't use items. You just sit there. I'm all for a stall tactic, but this is one stall that just kind of does nothing. If there was a battle where you had to survive for two or three turns, maybe four or five, but you did next to no damage and you'd be beaten if you tried to fight, but in those five turns the enemy became incredibly weak by some means, then maybe the spell would have that chance to shine, but when all you can do is sit there like a bump on a log, never being used, then it shouldn't have been in the game.

I think it's cool because, for example, in Dragon Quest 5, certain enemies have the spell and quite frankly it's annoying. But it makes the other monsters more deadly and harder to kill. And like the above poster said, it would actually be effective against strong mages.
