Broken Stove!!! Please HELP!!!

Hi. the same thing happened with me. For some reason I couldn't cook on it either. I really don't know what to do, but I will keep on trying to figure it out. Here are some of my theories:

1: It was overused (my Sims were all trying to use my stove as much as possible when I first got it), so you'll just have to wait a really long time until it gets fixed.

2: It just broke as it would in reality (maybe the kind of stove you have (I have a bungalow stove) is just prone to breaking), and it will just never be fixed and it will be broken forever so you'll just have to build another one.

3: You have one of the kinds of stoves (mine is made of stone so this might be the case with mine) that is rooted to the ground and can't be moved (though this really doesn't explain why you can't use it).

4: It just got dirty and I don't know what to do.

6: A Sim accidentally started a fire on or near it and it almost got burned but didn't.

MOST LIKELY:
7: It's just a glitch where a Sim was trapped near it and was carrying food or something and they put it down inside or on top of the stove, and you really can't do anything about those annoying glitches.

Anyway, for some reason, on mine I can see blue water flying out of it as well sometimes and I can see fire in it. I really don't know why this has happened. R.I.P. my broken stove! I will miss you! Oh well, until I figure this out, I guess the only thing both of us can really do at this point is move to a new area and build a new stove. *Sigh*.

You cant have stoves walled in either

They don't get broken just for being outside... they get broken when they get rained on or stormed on when they're outside, Lone Lab.

Stoves can't be outside, they must be inside to function or else they well break. Put a roof over it.

I may just be because it was the first stove you can make but my stove sat outside through two night long storms on the 2nd island and is still working on the 3rd about one and a half sim weeks later

P.s. Found out sometimes the stove will revert back to working condition instead of burn.

Also a tip to get a sim to better accept proposal is to make a love potion and give to both you wish together. Quickly though it does wear off. Ingredients: all fruit or berries. Only works with bungalow stove.
