Correction: to get super sonic, you have to get EXTREME RANK on every mission, you need to put this in the cheats section ya n00b.

No, it's not what the last position is for, to play as ss, you go to sonic & change the gear to "chaos emerald" I believe.

Yes, well, only for the non-timed missions like "collect 100 rings before reaching the goal".
For exsample;

on the ring one in megalo station, you have to collect 100 rings, you start off with a maximum ring count of 130, get to that, & it'll go up, look at the gear upgrades & you'll see cards there, instead, you need to get to the third one, it means you get extreme rank.

The last spot is for SCR-HD, the robot leader. To unlock him, you must defeat SCR-GP in a free race (You must come first).

People, don't even bother with unlocking Super Sonic, it's not worth it.
