The game's too hard!

Just like with Stuntman, they've done it again... made the game too darn hard! Since 2 days after the game was released, I've been stuck on the mission "the chase" where you must keep up with what's her name. I can get almost to the bridge sometimes, but always crash or lose her. I've now tried at least 200 times on this mission and I give up tonight! Aparently, I suck at driving. I did however complete both drivers 1 and 2, and also the getaway with no big problems. I think the game's just way too hard toward the end. I still recommend the game just for the driving and crashing in the "take a ride" mode. Beware though, the game froze up no less than 6 times today alone, and had to be reset. Other glitches I can handle, but don't make me get up from my chair to reset a frozen game! Over all, I'm disappointed in Driv3r and won't buy Driver4 until I rent it first. Just my thoughts on the game.

Thanks Straven. I have the strategy guide and I know what I'm supposed to do. Doing it is another thing! I've taken many practice runs in "take a ride" mode. I've tried switching to first person view like someone recommend. I even prayed for success! Something always happens every time though. I've reached my limit of frustration tonight. Thanks anyway.

Run down, ignore the car, take out your gun and blow the young lady away as she tries to drive past you. EASY!

listen..thats what makes the game challenging, thats also why its rated mature. cause of the difficulty levle, if you dont like it, take it back

I go through fustration everytime I do that mission, and once I beat it, I film it and it just tearns into my favorite mission of all time!

But eveytime you do it its just the same route over and over.
I kinda wish there was difrent routes.
But then that would just make the mission harder.

Really? I got pissed off on Driver 2. At the mission where Jones gets shot and you have to chase that damn person. I ended up running into the oncoming traffic or falling into the big hole. I had actually got where i had to seconds left. Then I died. I was so mad.

Actually, I haven't gotten to the chase calita mission that everyones having trouble with, so maybe thats why I think this way, but I think requesting less timed missions made the game too easy. I know, I used to say no timed missions, but it makes the game to short (so to speak) because with no time limit you can take the mission at your own pace instead of the programmers. No timed missions worked in GTA because that game had no end in sight (with missions, not replayability, but it is fun for quite a while), but theres only 25 missions in this game, and they're too easy. Maybe they should've had an option, easy mode without time limits, hard mode with them. On the missions where people other than cops are chasing you, I can just drive slow when one of them is on the map and take alternate routes, but in D2 you had to beat the time so you had to go fast.

Come to think of it Jeff, I didn't beat D2 either. I gave up on the 3rd mission from the end. You had to ram a car off the side of a winding mountain. I just couldn't do it! I agree with you crossfire, now that the game's over, I spend a lot of time in take a ride. I wish there were more things to do. Blowing up stuff and using a big truck to plow through cars never gets old though. Matt_jon, I would have bet you'd been through the game 5 times by now. You must be busy with school or sports.
