Just beat the game..final thoughts *minor spoilers?* - Page 3

I got 46 hours of pleasure from this game, ended it in lvl 41, started a new char with Xian....so....i loved this game i can say i did all missions avaible...maybe missed one or two....but they were minor. And i still didnt find all i could find in the game its just so full and rewarding, skipping some glitches i loved it...and the final boss loved my homerun baseball bat LOL. loved the ending and the mistery around the new guy in the party. Cant wait for Riptide, for now ill buy the Whyte mission, im sure it will be great too.

A friend bought this game for me and I finished it tonight at Level 36 as Sam B. completely solo, having completed most of the side quests except for the Jungle. The Butchers were the worst for me. When I would hear one, I immediately climbed the closest building and unloaded Shock Rifle rounds into it. lol

What I liked about the game ...
1. The RPG-like system in a zombie game
2. Challenging at times, which made me really think strategy instead of just shooting and hacking away at everything.
3. The location of a Zombie outbreak on a tropical island - I got killed a few times because I stopped to look at the beauty of the island, like the waterfall.
4. I really liked the Developer Craft No.2 Mod; it came in handy toward the end.

What I disliked about the game ...
1. The graphics with the NPC's speaking was terrible due to the sync being off.
2. The final fight on the roof top with "Infected White" was over too easily. Perhaps I should replay it without the Homerun Baseball Bat.
3. When White injected himself with the "antidote" only to transform into a freakish zombie ... well, it reeked of Resident Evil to me.

Those are my main likes and dislikes about DI. The final run to the roof was extremely hard. If you have about 12 Meat Bait at that point, it makes it easier. Despite it being extremely challenging at times, I loved the game because it made me strategize and think instead of just mindlessly hacking, slashing, and shooting my way from one quest to another.

I have to agree with Kommando about the glitches. Despite the glitches, it didn't ruin gameplay for me. Instead it made me laugh when a Ram would chase me and get stuck in a doorway, or even the door itself.
