What I suggest is that you read the user reviews of The Sims 2 Castaway, for example there is one that I did that will give you some details on the game and then maybe you might have an idea as to whether you would like it or not. Sims 2 Castaway is my fav of the sims 2 series. I think that it is a lot better because of not having to worry about money or a job. It is very different but it didn't take long for me to get used to it
