I have trouble understanding certain aspects of sidequests

Hello:

I'm new to this forum. Just today I beat WKC1 and started II (I only own II but both games are in the same disk ). Now I do not like playing online, never have, never will in any game (plus PSN Network doesn't even exist in my country).

Here is the thing. I'm about level 46/47 depending on the character (right at the very beginning, in lost forest). Now at the end of WCK1 I've unlocked several quests which have a recommended level of 36+ which I'm having A LOT of trouble completing. Not to say they have seen virtually impossible. I don't care about ranking so much. But I would like at least to complete them. Problems are almost allways the boss fights.

One that comes to mind has two Ahwahnee's and a bunch of jackals in the lode caverns. Another one with two direspiders in the Nordia Tunnels (Sprog Cleaning, I believe) (which I didn't die but run out of time seeing that i went in with like 2 minutes before the timer ran out) or Brave Litton's Plight II. Am I to understand that I will not be able to complete these quests because I will not play online? Is it possible to get materials to get better armor and weapons other than doing these quests?

Just to be clear NONE of the missions before this have given me any trouble whatsover and the the game (story) has been really easy (not a complaint, I suck big time at video games and I love nothing more than a very easy cool game like this one).

My equipment for my avatar is castleguard gear +2 and non upgraded (haven't gotten any LV6 Chromium Balls) Valiant Sword.

Leonard has two pieces of +2 Silver Plate Armor (cannot upgraded any further as I lack the chromimum balls) and two pieces of +4 Forest Armor which were the only ones I could make.

All of my characters have the heal first paradigm in their AI, but for Example the Ahwanee boss fight I mentioned? I went with Eldore (lv43) which I made a mage and he got almost immediately dead.

So are there any recommendations, minimum gear and/or minimum levels or should I just give up and only play the story? The thing is that it seems like a circular problem I need better gear and more levels and I need to finish the quests in order to get both....

And one last thing. It seems to me the the Ahwanee bosses should be about as strong as the Ahwanee that I find in the lost forest, since normal enemies are equally strong in the forest and in the quests. However in the quests they are much much tougher (more damage and way more HP) or so it appears. Am I wrong?

Any words of advice would be appreaciated. Thanks for any help!

Thank you for your reply. I was afraid of that. I managed to do some of the quest with better gear and more leveled up but I see there will many things I can not do. Is it possible to do some of the georama offline? I would like to be able to at least try to get some black iron ore....

As you progress through part 2, make sure to purchase new equipment in each area. Eventually you will be strong enough to take on those quests. Offline, you will probably start having trouble around GR15. The game really encourages online play, and the AI isn't exactly easy to work with x.x

If you need items from Sprig Cleaning, try the Exterminator instead. The boss will only be one direspider, and if you follow the wiki solo guide it is fast.

You can also try Material Advisor or Memorial Servant for ahwahnee instead of Jackals and Hides.

I don't think they say level 80. The levels recommended in the wiki might actually be wrong. I don't know if anyone got around to building separate tables for WKC2... In the single game disc (WKC1 International Edition) GR15/LVL50 was the cap. The recommended levels are taken from that version of the game. When you create a quest, the screen will show you some info, and you'll want to follow that recommendation, not the one in the wiki. It's all very confusing, but you should consider yourself playing WKC2, even if you're playing WKC1 story or quests. That said: if you look at the top of this forum, you'll find a link to the WKC2 forum. Many people don't check this one, and as I mentioned, any advice you're looking for will be about WKC2, even if you're in part 1 of the story.

I know it's confusing, but both both parts of the game on the WKC2 disc are really WKC2 with regard to levels and all. The first release of WKC1 (International Edition) has very different levels.

And even if you already know, I thought I'd add, that you should connect to PSN/Geonet at least once. Without even redeeming your geonet code, in addition to the 1.01 patch, you will get about 40 downloadable quests, including many that can be "soloed".

I'd say that at least half of the total of 172 quests can be completed by good player offline. Some though, will require that you reach Guild Rank (GR) 26, which will take an eternity to do alone. We're talking roughly 1000 hours minimum. I doubt many people would have the patience to do that by themselves.

yea theres quite a few quests that you wont be able to complete without online

also you are Level capped at 65 til ur gr18 then ur capped at 70 til gr19 then 75 til ur gr20 which is were you break the final cap and you can reach 80

also any quests with a blue marker will be extremely tough for you to solo and theres a few that you cant solo

Level 5 actually stated WKC2 is supposed to be an online RPG its an old article they stated it before it was released in JP i figured id just inform you of that
