I still maintain that having a separate DEX and STR build (with both sets of gear on-hand) is better than a Combined build.

DEX moves aren't really meant to be used alongside STR moves in combos as you can never truly reach the maximum STR and DEX values using one set of gear.

The 3AC combo I listed in the guide can stagger a Tier-3 Elemental Dragon with the setup listed; and a single (sometimes 2) 0AC Aerial attacks will knock it to the ground (either way, you will have sufficient time to do it before the dragon regains its balance.)

My method in KoD3 is simple, and is guaranteed to kill the dragon while taking 0 damage.

1) Haste and Fate's Fortune
2) Move closer (but before it engages) and use Warcry
3) 3AC on front legs (the Wyvernstorm will be blocked by Fate's)
4) 0AC Aerial to stagger and knock it down
5) Recast Warcy
6) 6AC on Head
7) 3AC on hind legs (although it should die within the first 2 hits - 1AC)

The DEX build is only designed to gain AC, kills mobs, debuff and is effective against Golems and Treants. The STR build is for everything else and is essential to survival due to the quick stagger potential is offers.

Another thing of note - I will always use the Kukulkan Robe over Hellion Mail (sure Hellion looks much better) simply for the fact of action speed, extra RES and the additional DEF (and HP) offered by the Hellion Mail is not worth it in my opinion. Furthermore, as I carry a full STR and DEX set I can only carry one, so short of changing my equipment layout for Physical-based attack and Magic-based attack quests it suits my arrangement best.

As I said in the guide - All the details are from my experience and are certainly not the only way to use the class. So any extra information, advice or opinions are very much welcomed.

The Command Bar shouldn't be a problem as you only need Shatter from STR (for recovering AC), and Sky Strike or Full Impact for a 0AC STR Aerial. The only other Axe skills you will need are Blind Swing, Armour Buster, Arm Buster, Jawbreaker (0MP, 0AC Mob killer) from DEX and Warcry. You can always switch Sky Strike/Full Impact for Thunder Jolt if you prefer a DEX build, but it's quite easy to switch between gear sets quickly. 7 slots plus upto 4 slots for combos (3AC to 6AC) and possibly an additional one for a 2AC Aerial (for Ancient Dragon.)

My whole point is that DEX is for AC/Debuff and for when you can not use combos, so with the extra AGI you can survive for the duration and then switch to STR for the next stagger combo.

I understand what you are saying, and it is perfectly viable - I use Axe in all quests so survivability for me is key over a little more convenience. In my view, a combined build is Axe Lite - It looks like Axe, swings like an Axe but is lacking the real punch of an Axe. As I have mentioned before - My setups are certainly not the only way and people can play the class as they see fit (which is why I included the combined build in the list.)

I personally use Full Impact as I find it is slightly more damaging than Sky Strike (although Sky Strike has a slightly faster animation.) It normally will knock-down an elemental dragon with a +10 Axe, although the ones in KoD3 seem to be more stubborn and sometimes needs a second Aerial to knock them down (you will have enough time to execute both before they recover.)
