General Budokai Discussion 3 - Page 5

Well finally got Budokai.

Its alright, its not what I expected. I mean, it would be a lot cooler if you had more freedom of movement. It angers me how you can''t jump, that you can't duck, and the holding back doesn't block.

The controls, and all the special move combinations are stupid. They should be more like Street Fighter.

Also, tournament mode is hella cheap. Once you get up to the last match, all the guy does is block, and throw you. Or he just does a combo on you, so you can't move, until you die. Android 19 is the most cheap. He did a 45 hit combo on me. If he doesn't do that, he just knocks me out of the ring. That really angers mes when you just get knocked out. There should be an option that makes it so you don't lose for falling out of the ring.


Anyway, this game is fun, but I see little if any replay value. If the controls were better it would the replay value would increas tremedously. However, its just annoying that you can barely move your character.

Also, that trasformations don't do squat. The barely make a difference. At least in the story mode, the SSJ transformaion should give you a 300% increase, if only for that battle.

The best thing in the game is probably the sound. That graphics are good, but they aren't that great.

The only thing that I thought was really cool about the game was the side quests.

Anyway, I'm going to give the game a rating a 5/10.

He has it out for you lol, but headface is right, that tournament mode is very cheap and the pc becomes almost invincible near the end and it made me stop playing because it got me so mad that after like 40 trys it kept cheating, blocking and right away knocking me out or some crap. They really need to fix such issues for the sequel...i mean i am on the verge of cheating myself but i still will try more even so since others have done it i should be able to as well.

1nce you progress through the game does the level of speed and strength increase, like does the com get faster?

2:in your opinion who is the stongest on the game?

1. Does the game have music from the GT series of DragonBall Z. I was hoping it had Trunks' Fighting Theme.

2.What do the buttons UP + Triangle do? My dumb friend keeps telling me. "Yes SS4Goku is in the game" and "Yes you can fly anytime you want in the game" But I know he's giving me a whole bunch of BullS*it. He CLAIMS that those 2 buttons make the fighters fly but i want to know what they really do.

I don't really listen to the music anyways, it's either muted or very low. Besides, the music isn't a big part of the game. I'm more focused on the kicken some hercule a$$!!!
