Well Cernunnos, Pan, and the Roman Equivalant all merged together to become a super deer/satyr god. A bunch of the Roman Gods were appropriated from other Gods such as Greek, Celts, Germanic myths.

Hell, most would say that Christianity appropriated many elements of Paganism into their Religion such as Mary who is akin to a mother goddess like Hera, Freyja, etc.
