I'm Back!

Ya, not just fanart for the contests would be nice maybe we could spice it up some more though?

Expansion to original is good, in my opinion: Chain-breaking
Gogetta had an excellent idea but, what about if instead of only words, someone actually provided... something. The "winner" (it doesn't need to be a competition) or the "guy in charge" could provide a sketch of something: a car, a hand, a banana and the participants would draw something around it. For instance, I draw an orange and post it here. You would have to draw to your heart's content, something but using that orange I drew. Songoku grabbing it with his tail for instance. I think we would have really hilarious outcomes out of our creativity.
Another idea would be for instance, someone to post a song, a symponhy or whatever (sometimes you come across some of them on youtube) or even a short story or anything you come across that gives you the idea that can be open for many interpretations and we could draw what that song or that particular text reminds us of.
What do you say?

I really like the song idea, Estrugaz! Just about everybody I know who draws (including me)uses music as inspiration at one time or another. Typically music with lyrics is what I like, but even instrumental stuff can be great, provided it's feeling comes across strongly enough.
That'd be cool. Perhaps whoever wins the contest could then be the one who picks the next song?
Or along the ideas of having someone post a sketch of something and challenging the particpants to include it in the picture, you could also just post a random picture from something (an image of an object, food, person)and challenge the participants to include whatever is in the picture somewhere in their artwork.(It'd be kinda fun if the image contains more than one thing, then you'd get to see how everyone would mix it into whatever they draw and still make it reasonable . . . ) And if the people who feel they draw fan art best keep their eye out, somebody may post a picture from a video game, movie etc. and then you'd get a nice mix of both original and fan-art throughout the span of the contests.
You could put all sorts of twists on these ideas, I think. Mix two together and see what you get.
Well, that's all I can think of for now.

I did a Neji (Naruto) fan-art recently. Can I enter that?

We're going to re-start it up in the next few days after it took a nap for a month, new thread too as this one is maxed, so keep an eye out for it
