Level up help

I just started playing so i'm sorta new to the game, I recently killed 9 toes (with his 3 balls lol) and picked up my reward, then I had to go to a wall where I could find jobs, and it said Scooter and that old guy had a job for me, can't remember his name but he's the guy who helps you out with the mission of killing 9 toes.
I tried to do Scooters mission first, the one where I have to go to a little camp and kill bonehead and get a part for Scooter, but after 2-3 tries i realized that I barely took damage from him, then I saw that I was level 7 and I had to be at least level 10
I have tried to level up a little but I currently have 16415 EXP and I have to get 20000, but I can't do any other missions cause I have to be level 10 and killing those little creatures doesn't give me much EXP points.
Can some of you more skilled players help me a little bit cause i'm kinda stuck right now

re: Level up help

I'd level you up, but unfortunately I don't have access to Xbox Live for a while. Just try doing some side quests if you have them and kill some random enemies.

re: Level up help

I don't have it either, I have tried but I just find those little creatures from the small caves and sometimes get attacked by some thiefs and those psycho midgets
And I don't get that much EXP points for killing them, but i'll try to run around and see if I can find some side quests, if not i'll see if my friend can come over and hopefully the two of us can maybe take a mission or two together

re: Level up help

Co-op makes things a WHOLE lot easier I find.

I played through my first 23 levels with a mate who brought the game over then let me borrow it.

You'll be surprised how quickly you level up playing Co-op. Me and my mate played for maybe 5-6 hours when he was over and got to level 23. I only just got to level 35, and it's been 4 days since my mate was here.

On another note, Claptrap, should pop up and tell you people have missions for you. Try to find some that have appropriate levelling for you.

re: Level up help

It worked out guys, old man T.K. Baha gave me a level 7 mission, I had to go to the skag gully and and kill a big skag named Scar and get Baha's leg back, after that the missions seem to be easier and easier
Just bought a combat rifle that does 18 damage, 85.4 accuracy and 7.7 fire rate so hopefully my next mission can get me from level 9 to 10 and then I can go kill bonehead

re: Level up help

co-op can help but one thing you must also remember more players. The more enemies/badass enemies you see.

But yeah always pay attention to the claptrap saying "there are new missions at (name) bounty board." "scooter told me to tell ya about alittle sumthin' sumthin'", etc...

If you do get xbl/have it you can always message me on xbox for a quick help.

re: Level up help

Yeah i've gotten the impression that co-op is the way to go, but kinda hard when friends don't allways have time to come over and play and the game is to much fun for me to wait several days for a friend to find a little spare time

re: Level up help

That's odd, I'm only at level 20, but I never found any problems leveling up. I'm actually leveling up faster then on my second character that I'm playing coop with my sister.

What class are you? The soldier? Remember that some skills are more beneficial then others when it comes playing alone or as a group.

re: Level up help

Well my problem was not leveling up but more that I was at level 7 and my next mission required me to be level 10 at least, so I was just asking if someone could help me what do to from there when it comes to leveling up cause I didn't get much EXP points from killing them
I'm that Hunter character with the sniper

Meh, wrote that when I was tired. >.> But yeah, just pay attention to the characters in the game, they'll tell you if someone has some quests available.

re: Level up help

I thought I could give you helpers out there a little update on how things are going
I've played for about an hour now and I managed to get those flowers for TK Baha but that quest was a little hard, especially during the second flower when all of a sudden I get attacked by a adult skag, 3 spitters and 4 skag pups
Then later when I was going to pick up the seventh one I get attacked by 6-7 skags at once and didn't help killing because they just kept on coming, barely made it alive at that point.
But I managed to do the mission, got my reward and then I went for Bonehead, he was a little challenging but mostly since I chose the Hunter character so I thought the sniper would be best then, but Bonehead kept moving and at times it was a little hard to get a shot in, but a few grenades, a little help from Bloodwing and a butt load of bullets later he was dead
Then I went for the few guards so I could pick up stuff without getting ambushed I shot at what I thought was a a regular enemy, but insted it was a badass psycho (and I would just like to apologize beforehand if I can't write a** but that's the name of the character so sorry So I started running backwards through that little pathway and all of a sudden I get attacked by 2 thugs and a midget psycho, so after killing them I started wondering where do these guys keep showing up from
Almost everytime I leave to see TK Baha or go do a mission I get attacked by 3 enemies who come from that pathway, now instead of starting a whole new thread to ask that I thought I could just ask it here Does anybody know how to get rid of those guys or why they keep showing up from nowhere?

I'm going to do the The piss wash hurdle mission now so wish me luck

re: Level up help

The bandits jump over a wall in the path towards bonehead closest to fyrestone. No, they will always be there. Most enemies spawn in odd ways. Sometime dead smack in your face. Usually out a door or garage or something such. Sometimes as above, over the wall.
