How Did YOU Take Down Skagzilla?

I think Skagzilla had to be one of the more epic battles in the game (if you aren't over-leveled of course) due to his HP and defense. Although, I didn't end up dying on him, it definitely did take me a while before I killed the sucker. I initially went about using Bloodwing and stickying him with grenades until I ran out. Then I switched over to my rocket launcher until I depleted all 40 of my rockets. By this point I'd barely managed to shave off half his health. Though my shields kept absorbing the damage I was pretty much out options to in terms of weapons until I realized I had Sledge's Shotgun sitting in my inventory.

So how did you guys take him down?

First playthrough I had a higher level friend do it for me.

Second playthrough, I was the same level as skagzilla and went one on one, but I had an ability that gave every bullet I fired a 25% chance to daze the enemy. When he's dazed, he moves at 20% speed and can't leap at you. Basically I sat there shooting him for 5 minutes or so.

The Giant moth with 3 people was *bleep*ing time consuming.

There's not many ways to kill Skagzille, you just shoot him a lot.

I killed skagzilla using my bloody justice revolver and a vitrolic SMG, took me a while cause i was playing evasivly until he did his laser attack, when i would shoot straight into his mouth

My battle was pretty epic. I don't have live so it was one-on-one, and I was pretty much out of ammo towards the end of the fight. I was two levels lower than 'Zilla, and had him down to about 1/5 of his total health. My health was about 1/10 of the total, and I had no healing kits. All I had left were six shots in my Bloody revolver, and I managed to score six crits in a row to end the fight. It was awesome.

i found an incredibly easy way to kill skagzilla (AFTER you have beat him once). on the bridge going to the pit you jump on the fence, then onto the higher black one. you can see over the entrance to the pit (this is easiest if you have a sniper rifle, or atleast something with a decen zoom and accuracy) he's stood infront of the cave appearing to be yawning. when he yawn's, that's your window of oppurtunity to lay alot of criticals by shooting him in the mouth.

Me and two friends just kept running in circles and shooting.

Skagzilla wasn't that tough of a battle. Hell, I had a harder time beating the first Guardian's (Which was one *bleep*ing epic battle) than Skag. I had weapons that I am still amazed I found. I just fired all of my rockets at him and then shotgunned him at close. For afar, used my awesome 3 burst machine gun.
