I hammered Portsmouth 5-1 in the Carling Cup final with Bendtner scoring a hattrick. He now has 14 goals this season, only one in the league.

It depends really.

Firstly, what kind of a club are you? If you're a top team who have a lot of money already, then the money gained isn't essential. However, in some cases, the money could be needed to fund your team for a while.

Also, if this player is one of your only players to play well, it might be best to keep him in the form he's in. You wouldn't want to sell him and get an inferior replacement who doesn't perform as well.

Just lost 5-4 on aggregate to Olympiakos in the 3rd qualifying round in the Champions League. Also having a stuttering start to the league as well. Won 2, drawn and lost 1. Need to improve quickly if I want to win the double like I wanted.

im portsmouth, ive won 3 of the last 4 premierships and 2 uefa cups and one champ league. My finances are ok at the moment, ive got about £45mil in the bank already.
He is the best player in his position and hes only 20 so has lots more years in him.

Keep him till January at least. If you find he's underperforming a bit to your standards, then sell him. But it's not urgent that you sell him. Take time to look around for other players who could replace him if you did sell him. Or you can focus on other areas of the team which could need improving in comparison to the position that player plays in.

I guess his value can only really go up, maybe in a few years people will be bidding £50m+ for him

Yeah, it is second season and I took them over after they had been relegated to try and take the challenge of getting them back up and staying there. The top 4 was just ridiculous with the points total, especially considering that West Brom won the league with 85 points the season before.



I've also lost Kirkland on a free because he refused to sign a new contract. I've offered a contract to Pletikosa so hopefully he'll join, following Lorik Cana who also signed on a free.

Is it inevitable that i will be fired after being issued an ultimatum by the board. They asked me to resign because i was linked with the Real Madrid vacancy and i expressed an interest and applied. I didnt get the job in the end which has left me and the board on pretty sketchy terms. Im currently doing well in all competitions so i hope they wont fire me.
