• Firstly, all you have to do is make sure you're looking at the picture
  you want to take a screenshot of.
  
  
• Once you've found that picture, press print screen. The button should be located next to the F12 button or on some keyboards it's next to scroll lock in the top right corner. Nothing will happen once you've pressed print screen.
  
  
• Once you've done that, open the programme 'Paint'. Start/Accessories/Paint.
  
  
• At the top of the page, you should see file/edit/view/image/colours/help. Click 'edit' and then 'paste'. Or you can press ctrl+V.
  
  
• Once the screen has come up, press file in the top left corner. Then press 'save as'. Once you've done that, select where you want to save the screenshot and what you want to call it.
  
  
• Before saving, make sure the file type is a 'JPEG'
  
  
• Once you've clicked save, the screenshot should now be in whatever folder you selected to save it in.

• Go to www.tinypic.com, once there you'll see a screen like this:
  
  
  
  
• Click browse and go to the place where you saved your screenshot. Then click 'Upload Now'. You'll then see a screen that looks like this:
  
  
  
  
• If you want the image to appear on the thread, use the 'IMG Code for Forums and Message Boards option'. If you want to link us to the image, use the 'Direct Link for Layouts' option.

• Make sure you have FM open, and you have the screen you want to capture showing.
  
  
• Press ALT and F9, that will take the screenshot.
  
  
• Go to My Documents/ Sports Interactive/ Football Manager 2008/Screenshots
  
  
• The screenshot you captured will be in there, and you can follow the uploading directions above to host the screenshot.

Nice an easy guide here Underated. Well done. This should sort out those people who say, "I would post a screenie, but I don't know how". The images of the website helps as well, rather than just text instructions.

pretty good but you missed out something

When you make a screenshot you can use the select feature to cot/copy the important part of it, instead of the full thing

I know, I was thinking of writing about that, but the main aim of the thread was to just teach people how to make and post a screenshot, if they want any more help, all they have to do is ask.

I've just edited the main guide page by adding links to specific parts of the guide, if there's a problem with that I'll change it back.

a small suggestion.. or an alternative. there is a software called neoshooter. its for taking screen shots and avoid all the steps you have explained in detail.
