Well apparently there's more rural areas in this game than the first one, so they could be on the new island.

We also need to remember, Stilwater is 15 years in the future than the old game. If we look at it with that logic, lots of things are bound to change. More buildings going up, some going down, new roads, etc.

Mine is 100% different that in was 5 years ago, let alone 15. Look up Hurricane Charley, then check out before and after pics. A lot can happen in 1 year, let alone 15.

Well i mean, not saying that what happened to your city isn't important, but im sure it won't be based around a natural disaster happening.

Well, that's always an excuse that can be used in game. Remember, Stilwater is very much fictitious, so any old Hurricane or other natural disaster can wipe it out

Yeah, you did. Hurricane Hermana was the whole reason for the bridge closing off the Mainland from the Beach ion Vice City.

What would happen if you spawned a heli and used it to go to the other island at the start of the game? Never tried it.

Vice City and GTA III didn't punish you for going to areas you weren't supposed to be in. You could just go there and hang out, do side missions or whatever.

I agree, but I kind of understood it in San Andreas, because you could swim. So getting to another island you weren't supposed to be in didn't require cheating, and was as easy jumping into the water and swimming there. I do object to the fact that you couldn't LOSE your wanted level while in those areas. It would have been cool in San Andreas if you got that automatic 4 star wanted level for traversing into an area you didn't belong in, but could lose it if you wanted to.

Yeah, you could finish off all the collectibles and side missions in all of SA, before even starting the first mission. It would give you a huge advantage.
