Hi everyone, just started playing MGO Beta today and I must say it's quite exciting and fun, and reminds me as to how I got hooked onto R:FoM's online mode. In any case, I've decided to set up a bunch of videos which will hopefully also be appearing on GameGrep. So far I've uploaded two videos, and I'm in the process of converting the third one. So the purpose of this thread is for me to post all my videos in one thread so that others can comment on them if they so wish, and just so I can see how I go from being utterly crap to (hopefully) a good player.

So far I've only uploaded the training videos, and played one (unrecorded) Team Deathmatch, but I'll be recording another one whilst my second training video is in the process of converting to a format that I can upload.

I'm just uploading the second training video, and getting the actual in-game video from the dvd onto my computer. After that I'll run the conversion process and hopefully the video will have uploaded in that time, so I can start hte second upload... but the second training video itself was around 100MB

WTH!? 100mb? how long were you training for? i just went in there and saw what each button does and got into a game......but what did it teach you, im too lazy to go back to training

Bah, from the looks of it, I broke NeoVideo's >_< Well I guess it's a good thing I wont be talking to Huntyr online till friday, or he'd have blown a fuse for me having broken neovids with my videos Seems the conversion process has stopped, and it's causing submitted videos to queue up

And it was a 16 minute video, I primarily made it so that people that haven't got the beta could take a look at it and see what it's like.

Thanks for this Krunal..I wanted to see some good footage of this seeing as I can't play it for no reason ¬.¬

I reported it I find reporting more effective than sending PM's to the section mod

I think my fourth video which has an actual deathmatch played is quite good example of what the games like, but unfortunately, it's stuck in the queue

Great vids Krunal. I won't be playing any new MGS until June, so it's good to see how it looks.

And I'm sure it'll take me a lot of time to get used to the controls.

No that was the controls, I was having a VERY difficult time adjusting to them, it's like I press to go left and it went right at points, I press to go right and it went left, I inverted it, and it still did that. I was hoping to lean on a wall and look out and everytime I tried that, I ended up facing the floor, it was very annoying to be honest. But it's made me excited for MGS4, that I'm sure will make better use of the controls.

yes thats very true, the controls were very difficult at first, it has a mean learning curve

be sure to post more videos when thats no longer a problem

I kinda like the controls, the only thing is that there's alot of perks to understand and know, but once you know all of them you can make your character do some cool things.

It also gives people some choices, you can auto aim, go to over the shoulder, or first person, how many games give you all those options?

Yeh the problem comes when I can't aim where I want to. I end up running out of bullets before I've even aimed the gun on an enemy, and believe me I'm trying hard not to be my trigger happy self, it just doesn't work when you have like a 10 ammo count and then you have to reload.

As for first person, you can't see anything around you, so that leaves you WIDELY open from the back and sides, which would be okay if I was in a narrow street, but when I'm being attacked from all sides, it's not a good thing. Oh and I'll try to record me being launched into one of those human catapalts for you guys... if I can get away from GTA4 that is Going to start playing this sunday, not sure when I'll stop.
