What we know so far ! - 24 / 7 / 07

^{I've decided to make a thread so as to post all the information that is currently known about 2 of Namco's new titles :}

Tales of Innocence

Both of these games were announced on July 20th and area headed for a Spring 2008 and December 2007 release date, respectively. So here we go ... ^^

Tales of Symphonia : Knights of Ratatosk

Currently being developed for the Nintendo Wii, his game is going to be set 3 years after the events of the popular hit, Tales of Symphonia. It has been confirmed that characters for the original game will be making a return, but unfortunately not as playable characters. Many owns an cities from the first game will also make a return ^^
A point-and-click system using the Wii Remote will be used to move across the over world map and a flex range linear motion battle system will be used.
It has also be confirmed that the main protagonist will be able to capture and bred monsters so as to use them in battle.

Tales of Innocence



Namco has stated that the Nintendo DS is going to be the new major platform for the development of Tales of games, with Tales of Innocence being the leading role. Not much is currently known about this titles, except for 2 of the main character :

Ruca Milda
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Weapon: Broad Sword

Iria Animi
Gender: Female
Weapon: Guns

... and that's about it for the moment. Screenshot and scans time !

Odd how Luin was pretty much the first confirmed town in this game where as in the other it was mainly just a town for side-quests.

Yeah, it looks like you just select locations on the map and warp there. Not good... I like having an over world. I heard some people didn't like ToS' world map, not sure why.

Idiots find it hard because they don't have a straight line telling them where to go like a few games I know of *coughFFXcough*

<sup>If you translate the page it says that the two main characters, Emil and Marta, are survivors of the Palmacosta incident from the first game. Emil strives to be a Knight of Ratatosk.

Thats all it really says to be honest, except that Marta thinks Emil's too feminine</sup>

Once you'd witnessed that cut-scene you could no long go to Palmacosta, because it was completely underwater, or the Tower of Mana, as it collapsed.</sup>
