Just out of curiosity, is there any possible chance for there being online/offline PvP battles? I think that'd be really fun. I always wanted to show my brother that I could actually beat him Lloyd-Lloyd in the original, but there was no way to prove that...

Of course, I was wrong. He went on to beat all 4 sword dancers, the maze behind the bookcase, everyone in the colloseum, and get all of those evil weapons to beat Abbysion. He beat every secret in the game, and I couldn't even beat the 2nd sword dancer... But I think that was because I couldn't find him

I have consulted my brother... He said three. I haven't played for awhile (we borrowed the game from our cousins for an indeftinate period of time, but returned it about a year ago), so it's understandable. I hope they put in a PvP system

I didn't think they were putting anything on wifi at all. So that rules the online possibility out. I find this idea a bit unlikely, but there's always the possibility that Tales Studio thought of this.

Wifi seems highly unlikely. Doesn't seem like a thing Namco would even try for Tales. Plus Nintendo's Wifi isn't the best of the three current gen systems. Vesperia has the best chance.

Meh. I was thinking that if it was wifi, it'd be like... A four-person-max thing, and you do it like you would a regular monster... Except you'd be playing without allys

Offline PvP would be the easiest thing for them to do. No idea why they won't try it out though. Star Ocean 3 had it and it worked for the most part.

What's Star Ocean? Is it like... Kinda like a game by the same people with similar stuff, but a different storyline and things?

Star Ocean is made by Square Enix and Tri Ace. It was commonly compared to Tales of Symphonia since both were action RPGs and released around the same time.

But SO3's battle mode did work a bit. They had a set amount of HP/MP and skills for each character, as well as styles. Course some characters were clearly overpowered but...

i think PvP battles would be pretty cool. If, and only if they put them in the game, i would like to be able to use the monsters you can recruit

Only if it is party vs party.

I'd rather them just make a Tales 1on1 fighter then 1on1 online.

Suppose it'd be a nice feature, but I think the damage would need to be sorta altered to make battles not too quick.

i'm not seeing any PvP at all for the Tales series

It was fine for some thing like Lost Kingdoms II, since you could customize your deck, but this it has all the same characters for everyone O:

I still think it'd be fun. Otherwise, how could you and your friend prove who's better with Lloyd, or just the better fighter?
