Better than Virtua Tennis 3? |
|
I already own VT3, but it's getting a bit stale, and I noticed Top Spin 3 on the shelves today, and am contemplating buying it now.
Is it worth it? -------------------

I think it is much better than VT3. The career mode is better as you have to work your way up the ranks. The tennis feels more realistic as you have to hold a button for a long time to get a powerful hit.

This game is so incredibly rubbish, I wasted my money on it. Awkward controls and really hard to play. Don't buy it if you want to have fun as you will only be disappointed.

Hard, No way. The game controls were a little hard but once you have a few games it is totally easy.
MAybe you should stick to the Easy Tennis games.

I bought this game on Saturday.
Started with the training school to try and tackle the very hard learning curve, then tryed a matches & got royaly humpped lol! Went back to training & improved & I finally won my 1st game with sexy Nadal on the Tuesday! Felt so good as I had finally got to grips with the game! Now I love it & am about to tackle career mode. In other words, Steep learning curve but great rewards when you get to grips with it! ------------------- RIP Tommy Burns, you will live on in our hearts & prayers. Hail! Hail! Say hello to 3 in a row!

I really like this game for me it feels more like a tennis sim more than just a game depends what your looking for really if youve got the patience to get to grips with how to exploit players weaknesses rather than doing the same kind of shots to win games it can be quite rewarding
bad game? more like bad player

i agree with most of the people in here.
its a disappointment at first because it is different but once you are used to the controls it is the best tennis game of all time. the movement is realistic and so is the career mode all really need is a bit of patience and then you can get the most fun out of the game add me on ps3 to play me online name= mrgoodly

well, i definitely think it's a lot more technical which is good for those hu can be assed learning. people like me hu get frustrated when you swear your lettin go of that bloody button at the right time, yet they still just let it go by and then whack thin air like loons, wont be so pleased

I'm average and this game is too easy once you clock it, all you need to do is time your shots and ensure you always add power onto the shots then this game is a piece of cake.

Yeah I played Top Spin for two days and hated it. I almost put in on the top shelf with the other games I will never play again (like the the football game somebody got me for my birthday and GTA4 - post Saint's Row 2). I just had to put time into it. After you develope a player, and they get stronger and faster and start winning, its hard to put the controller down.
Online play is kinda shaky.

I think i is much better than, VT3, it really depends on how much you like Tennis as a sports really, if you are a casual fan then maybe VT3 is the game for you.
But the realism that you get from TS3 is amazing, yes it do take a while to get used to but when you do, its a great game. I played VT3 after i brought TS3 and is soo unrealistic and arcadey! But it depends on what you are looking for, but TS3 all the way!
