Actually, I believe I have seen such a setup that DID involve a propeller.

I wonder, has anyone ever simply installed their PC hardware inside a freezer?

And I mean literally a freezer. The kind you put food in.

Put the hardware in there, make sure there's absolutely no moisture in it. Seal every crack so no moisture can get in. Optionally suck out all the air through a small hole then seal it. (To avoid condensation problems)

Turn on the freezer.

Behold. A PC running at below zero centigrade. Well, running in an environment that's below zero anyway. I don't know what the actual processor and gpu temps would be like.

That might work.

You may still need alternate cooling for the rest of your hardware as well though.

I know that the oil is non conductive, you misunderstood me.

The oil will work well for a few hours but eventually it will get to hot. For this reason many people will water cool their computers as well.

The oil cooled computer you can but, I forgot the name of it, has water cooled componants in the oil for this reason.

That would depend on what type of oil we're talking about.

The specific heat capacity of vegetable oil is c = 1.67 J/g˚C (If I remember correctly)

The specific heat capacity of water is 4.184 J/g˚C.

Also moving the oil could present a problem. In the end water is easier to use.

You could use a stronger motor, but that would add more heat to the loop, as well as costing more money.

I'm not sure the heat capacities of different types of oils. You'd need to look it up.

Also if you're using DI or distilled water you don't need to worry to much about leaks. Water itself is non conductive, so as long as you're using uncontaminated water you'll be fine.

Of course as soon as you open the container the water becomes contaminated, but still, it's "Less" conductive.
