BobbyG2's Gaming Rig (v2): Benchmarks up, or rather, down.

This is an update to my old thread. I've since majorly upgraded this rig so I'm creating a new thread for it.

I think I did WAY worse than I should have. I'm gonna get an external hard drive and reformat.

2/22/09: Have upgraded my rig significantly since my last thread. Decided to make a new thread.

2/24/09: Benchmarks up. I think I should have reformatted after installing the motherboard. And I need a QUAD!

Overclocking:

I have my processor overclocked to 3.1GHz with operable temperatures. To go any higher would require more cooling. Runs at 96f idle, 120f under load (which, IMO, is unacceptable).

I have my RAM overclocked to 804MHz and 2.2v otherwise the actual speed would be below 800MHz.

I have my Graphics Card overclocked to 825/1990/2400 36-40c idle 53c under load. Will go higher but this is a good enough overclock to run Crysis with all graphics maxed 16AF no AA at 1680x1050 20-35fps (which, IMO, is playable).

Future Upgrades:

-A new DVD Burner. My current one wont let me install newer games.

-Probably will replace my case with a cardboard box for better cooling. When I move into my own place with have it in free air.

-A Quad core.

-When the GTX295 drops to ~$200 I'll get that or the best card for that price.

-Much more cooling modifications. I need cooling!

-Windows 7 when that comes out.

-4 to 8GB of DDR2-1066
