i'm curious if this is possible?

Since we all know who the orgami killer is in the game, the killer was the fat detective Scott Shelby. So at the beginning of the game, Scott went to a brothel to question Lauren Winters about the killer. Anyway in the middle of this particular scene, winters' boyfriend knock in and went to her room with force after scott left. but he came back to "get involved". the question is if shelby lost the fight to her boyfriend. will he die? if so at the end of the game, no one would know who the real killer is. because Scott Shelby's role is so critical due to his true identity as the killer, his death may affect the ending critically. so tell me what happen to the story if he dies very early in the first scene from the game. btw i don't own the game so don't tell me to try it myself.

but is it possible for the fat man to die?

of course the final showdown between scott and the hero will be deadly but i'm asking if he can be killed before the climatic ending because in effect, this somehow can change the outcome of the story if it can be done possible.

Nah, nothing you do, will kill him before the end.

I tried letting him die in the car when he's tied up underwater, but doing nothing will only get Lauren Killed, he somehow stil managed to get to the surface, even when you're not trying to get yourself loose.

His rage attempt when crashing the mansion with a car, shooting up the place, doing nothing and letting yourself getting shot will not kill him either, even with the amount of bullets he took, you just see him escape the mansion in a hurry, seeing that he doesn't stand a chance against them.

During the party at the mansion, when you have to fight, doing nothing to fight back, all they do is beat you up and that's it.

The robber at the store, all he does is shoot you in the shoulder and then panics and leave, leaving you with a scar on your jacket's shoulder.

You can't kill him no matter what..

Except for the ending that is.

I guess I should of stopped reading after the opening line of this thread. Shouldn't there of been a Spoiler alert on this thread? At least now I know who the killer is now. Maybe I won't bother downloading the 1.5 gig update for the game. I can't believe the size of the updates for this particular game (about 11 hours with my DSL speed).
